This evening, Abbey Clancy and her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec took to the dance floor to perform the Charleston to Liza Minnelli’s ‘Cabaret’
Abbey said it went well last week, in her VT and she was so happy to impress Craig. “Being in the dance off was the most terrifying thing,” she added. Moving onto this week, she was really down to begin with but she had to be happy as the Charleston is a very fun dance.
Last week, the couple danced a very haunting Rumba. They scored a total of 34 with Craig telling the pair it was “impressive” and Darcey said that she has to smooth out the transitions a little more.
Abbey did a very good job of the Charleston this week – fast paced and cheeky. Great long lines as well.
- Craig Revel Horwood: “I think she’s done enough to get to Blackpool. The enormous attention to detail was incredible… You didn’t do the Charleston quietly, it was loud and proud”.
- Darcey Bussell: “I just ove the gorgeously side of Abbey. It’s so unusual what ease you did with that prop, it was brilliant. The leg action was fast and furious”.
- Len Goodman: “It was a Charleston, it was going back to the 20s… Downton Abbey! That was a beautiful journey, stay in that car, get up the A1 and i’ll see you in Blackpool”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “What I really like is it was a Charleston and you had a wonderful stylistic catches. It was unusual and very exciting and God, you deserve to come to Blackpool”.
Both Abbey & Aljaz received a combined score of 36 with a 9 from Craig Revel Horwood, a 9 from Darcey Bussell, a 9 from Len Goodman and a 9 from Bruno Tonioli.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:20pm on BBC One.
