Strictly Come Dancing 2013: Ben Cohen ditches Kristina Rihanoff for Rachel Riley!
Ben Cohen has ben busy preparing for his dance debut on live TV this evening but yesterday he seemed to be gearing himself up for performing with a new partner.
The rugby star has been paired with blonde beauty Kristina Rihanoff for the 2013 series of the BBC competition, however she was a little miffed during dress rehearsals this week when he decided to take to the floor with another contestant instead.
During the breaks on filming, rehearsing and spray tanning Ben was practising the steps of his routine with fellow dance newcomer Rachel Riley, who seemed to have lost her partner Pasha Kovalev also.
Kristina pretended to be upset by the usurper and tweeted:

However by the end of the session she was still feeling pretty excited about performing this evening and tweeted:
Morning world! And so it begins!!! @bbcstrictly is back on TV!!📺📺📺

Ben and Kristina will perform a cha cha tonight and it sounds like Cohen is a little nervous about stepping out for the first time. He told The Daily Mail this week that he needs to remember to smile and keep his tension at bay and explained:
‘It’s nerve wracking but hopefully all the training and practicing of the last couple of weeks will make it second nature on the night.
I just need to remember to smile and dance and everything else in front of the audience, and not let nerves take over.’
Rehearsals seem to be going well, with Rihanoff tweeting this week saying:
“So proud of @RugbyBenCohen !First rehearsal on at @ElstreeStudios went really well. Hopefully it will be ok at the first @bbcstrictly show !”
However it hasn’t all been plain sailing and earlier this week Ben revealed that he’s struggling with next week’s routine, adding:
“Back in the studio for more dance lesson this morning. I’m learning my 2nd dance which is the Waltz & it’s killing me.Lol. 2 days 2 go #scd”
