Rugby hunk Ben Cohen and his professional partner Kristina Rihanoff took to the dance floor this evening to perform the very fast and energetic Charleston to No Diggity by Minimatic.
In his Vt, Ben said that arriving at Blackpool was “spectacular” and he loved every minute of it as it’s something he will only be able to do once in his lifetime. Kristina added that it was a “magical night”. This week, it’s the Charleston, which may be a tad difficult for big burly Ben. In a bid to strengthen his character, they brought in a mime artist to help Ben with his facial expressions.
Last week, Big Ben Cohen was back in the game as he scored 32 points for his Jive. Craig told him: “Big Ben is back darling” whilst Len said that his performance was “fabulous”. However, earlier this week, Ben said that he looks like “a tw*t” in some of the costumes, but he embraces it…
- Craig Revel Horwood: “It wasn’t the most electrifying Charleston I’ve ever seen. There was no cross what so ever and you lacked any freedom of movement… this is what it’s about quirkiness”.
- Darcey Bussell: “The storytelling really worked and you’re always upping the dance content which is brilliant. It looks careful on your and I think you’re really concentrating which you have to hide”.
- Len Goodman: “You’re a time lord and it was right on time throughout that dance. The lifts were great but it lacked any freedom in the movement”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “And the strongest man on earth… I have to say, the Charleston is hard as you have to be light on your feet and it has to be sharp. Your timing was good but your feet could have been sharper. For a guy of your size, it was wonderful”.
Ben & Kristina received a combined score of 26 with a 6 from Craig, a 7 from Darcey, a 7 from Len and a 7 from Bruno.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:20pm with the all important results show.
