Abbey Clancy and her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec chose to dance the Quicksyep as their favourite dance of the series this evening. The pair performed it to Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.
“The journey has been absolutely incredible from start to finish,” Abbey said in her VT. Being in the bottom two with the Rumba was the lowest point for Abbey as having to dance again was horrible. “I don’t feel half as good as the people who are still left in,” she added. Oh Abbey, how we have to disagree. Abbey chose the Quickstep as she feels like she’s been walking on sunshine for the past three months, so it’s the perfect ending for her.
Abbey Clancy has certainly improved throught the series. The model started the series without being able to tell her left foot apart from her right but since then, she has gone on to achieve 10s across the board and became the first contestant of the series to reach the 40 points mark. But, has Abbey got what it takes to lift that Glitterball Trophy this evening?
- Craig Revel Horwood: “You were very brave to choose this as I recall giving it a 7. You’ve managed to correct all of those things, so congratulations”.
- Darcey Bussell: “Well, walking on Sunshine is great, but you floated. It was a seamless quickstep and a joy to watch”
- Len Goodman: “If Ballroom dancing was football, then you’re top of the league. Unfortunately, it’s live and you get one shot and near the end there was an incident where you suddenly took off and Aljaz forgot to. Listen, I think you’re a spectacular dancer”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “It was absolutely dazzling and was brilliant. The concept of this is right up there with the best we’ve ever seen on Strictly”
Both Abbey & Aljaz received a combined score of 10 with a 38 from Craig, a 10 from Darcey, a 9 from Len and a 10 from Bruno.
Strictly Come Dancing continues this evening at 8:40pm with the all important result. Who will win this series?
