As part of this evening’s Strictly Come Dancing 2013 finale, the judges chose that Natalie Gumede and her professional partner Artem Chigvintsev should dance the Cha Cha to Boney M’s Rasputin.
In her VT, Natalie said that last week, she decided to let it all go and she loved it. “I was blown away, I was not expecting that at all,” she added. Unfortunately, after being joint top of the leaderboard, they ended up in the bottom two – SHOCK! The judges revealed that she would be dancing the American Smooth. “A lot time has passed since that first performance and we’d like to see a different aspect of Natalie,” Bruno told her.
The last few weeks have certainly started to take their toll on Natalie as she’s said she is exhausted. Speaking to the Mirror earlier this week, she said that her performance this week is “very old Hollywood show business” and she even promised us quite a few tricks…
- Craig Revel Horwood: “You showed improved hip action and the timing was absolutely impeccable”.
- Darcey Bussell: “I didn’t even know it was possible you could be cleaner. It was just a terrific performance, yet again”.
- Len Goodman: “It’s a marvellous combination we have here. We have the Lancashire hotpot and the beast from the East. Excellence comes from dedication and hard work and I’m telling you… that was excellent”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “The finish was immaculate, the placement was flawless and the timing was spot on. As for the hips, what can I say?”
Both Natalie & Artem received a combined score of 39 with a 9 from Craig, a 10 from Darcey, a 10 from Len and a 10 from Bruno.
Strictly Come Dancing continues this evening at 8:40pm with the all important result. Who will win this series?
