by Nick Barnes

This evening, Rachel Riley and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev took to the dance floor for the second time this series.

The pair danced the Salsa to Daft Punk’s Get Lucky. Last week, Rachel received a very good first score of 27, after he waltz was described as “graceful” and “beautiful”. However, Len told her that it was a “very careful” dance and she won’t win the show being careful.

This week, Rachel said in her VT: “This week, Pasha and I are dancing the Salsa. I can’t do sexy, I’m not doing sexy. Going to the Salsa night has boosted my confidence”.

Judges’ Comments

Bruno Tonioli said: “It was like watching a gorgeous rag doll. The attitude is right but I believe you have it in there. The thing you have to work on is your balance”.

Darcey Bussell added: “There’s lots of sugar but not a lot of spice. You need to flirt with Pasha, he’S easy to flirt with. It was a bit wishy-washy”.”.

Len Goodman continued: “I thought you were working your assets quite a bit out there. It was careful again, you have to come out and waw us a little bit more”.

Craig Revel Horwood grunted: “Very untamed, the lift was messy, at times it was very awkward”.

I loved Kimberley Walsh and wanted her to win last year, but it makes you realise how much of an advantage it is to have come from a performance background. Kimberley was used to having to turn it on for videos / photo shoots etc, whereas projecting that side of her personality is totally unfamiliar territory for Rachel.
