This evening, Vanessa Feltz and her professional partner James Jordan took to the dance floor for the second time this series.
The pair danced the Waltz to Run to You by Whitney Houston. Last week, the pair scored quite a low 19 with Len saying their Cha Cha lacked a “crash, bang and wallop”, with Bruno saying we needed some sort of impact.
This week, Vanessa said in her VT: “I was really, really pleased with my performance. I don’t know what more I could have done.
“This week, it’s a very different challenge. The central theme is about love and loss. Like everybody else I have been through some times with a broken heart”.
Bruno Tonioli said: “That look of longing toward James was deeply felt. You was connected and you was moving better. The footwork, the lines need working on”.
Darcey Bussell added: “Vanessa, you expressed the emotion and the romance. The waltz need that as the audience can feel exactly the same thing. All you need to do is soften the knees”.
Len Goodman continued: “I thought it was heartfelt, there was a little story going on, it as lovely. All you have to do now is work on the details”.
Craig Revel Horwood grunted: “I don’t want to see you dance Latin ever again. You’re comfortable in hold and you did a lovely job”.
Both Vanessa & James received a combined score of 23 from the judges. It as a 5 from Craig Revel Horwood, a 6 from Darcey Bussell, a 6 from Len Goodman and finally, a 6 from Bruno Tonioli.
Following her second dance, Vanessa said: “I’m very pleased, the feeling of it is amazing. I never thought I’d ever feel like that”.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening on BBC One at 7pm, in which one contestant will be given the boot.
