Strictly Come Dancing 2013: Pro-dancer Kevin Clifton is to join fiancé Karen Hauer in new series!
It’s been reported today that professional dancer Kevin Clifton is set to join his fiancé Karen Hauer in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, and his addition to the line-up of pro-dance mentors means there are now three couples working on the show!
The new professional dance line-up was of course assembled after several of the show’s long-serving dancers quit at the end of the last series.
However, it won’t be the first time that Kevin and Karen have worked together as they recently starred in Burn The Floor. He’s also featured in Dirty Dancing The Musical in London’s West End.
While reporting on Kevin signing up to the show, the Daily Star added, “BBC bosses have already announced the signing of Janette Manrara, 30, and boyfriend Aljaz Skorjanec.
A show insider told the paper, “The Strictly pro dancers have performed some of the sexiest routines we’ve ever seen on TV.
“And when two dancers are together in real life there is no mistaking the sexual chemistry between them.
“Strictly beat The X Factor in the ratings last season and bosses have been doing everything to strengthen the professional dancers.
“Signing up Kevin to join Karen on the show will set temperatures soaring once again.”
The source added: “These two are one of the hottest dance couples out there.
“It’s going to be one hell of a new series.
“The professionals started rehearsing last week and there’s a real buzz among them. Everyone is very excited.”
So far, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher, former X Factor winner Joe McElderry, Hairy Biker Dave Myers and WAG Abbey Clancy have all been rumoured to have signed up to star in the new series which kicks off next month.
We will of course keep you posted as we hear more about the line-up, but for now, here’s a look at Kevin and Karen in action…
