The final celebrity to take to the dance floor this evening is Rufus Hound and his professional partner for the evening, Flavia Cacace. Rufus is a West End star but started out as a stand up comedian and has appeared on several different TV shows including hilarious panel shows, Celebrity Juice and Nevermind the Buzzcocks. Tonight, the pair are dancing the Tango.
In his VT, Rufus said that when he was asked to be part of the show, a lot of “bells and whistles and fireworks” went off in his head, but he has to make sure he doesn’t mess it up. “It’s Rufus Hound so the jokes are endless,” Flavia noted.
Rufus took on an Eskimo role this evening as he kicked off the dance in a igloo. Not only that, the pair were lucky enough to have two real Husky dogs on the dance floor. Rufus is hilarious and he acts well, but I wouldn’t say Strictly is necessarily his forte.
- Craig Revel Horwood: “I’ve got to say, that has to be one of the most abnormal and curious Tango’s I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. However strange and unconventional it was, I loved it”.
- Darcey Bussell: “Well, Rufus I thought you were an unusually hot Eskimo for me, you melted everything for me. Craig is right, I have never seen such an entertaining ballroom Tango”.
- Len Goodman: “What it lacked in technique, it made up for in entertainment and I thoroughly enjoyed it”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “That really was a nutcracker of a tango. It was funny, it was perfectly pitched for this season”.
In total, Rufus & Flavia received a total score of 38 with a 9 from Craig, a 10 from Darcey, a 9 from Len and a 10 from Bruno.
