Coronation Street star Craig Kelly has admitted that he had never danced before signing up for Strictly Come Dancing. In fact the actor has admitted that he is terrified about appearing on the show this Friday.

In an interview with the Daily Record Craig said: “I did laugh to myself, if I am totally honest, when I got the call. I never thought I’d have the courage to do it. The thought terrified me.

“But when I met up with Strictly at the BBC, they were so lovely, I just could not turn them down.

“Part of me loves a new challenge and I just thought I should give it a go.”

Craig is thrilled with his dance partner saying that Flavia is “one of the best” on Strictly.

He said: “Flavia is just so cool and brilliant. She is very, very patient and she is a great teacher.

“The good thing is we get on really well. She is a laugh and, yes, it is work, but I am having a lot of fun with her.

“I am really lucky to have landed Flavia as my dancing partner.”
