Strictly Come Dancing: Robert Rinder To Get The Boot – Is Anton Du Beke Set To Be The New Len?
Having lost fan favourite Ed Balls in last weekend’s show, the odds suggest that Robert Rinder is all but certain to be off next at 1/3. The Len long goodbye is set to go into overdrive this weekend and speculation as to who will be his successor is reaching fever pitch. Most of the early money has been for Anton Du Beke, 5/2, who is said to have been groomed for the position, though many are also speculating that bosses are looking to address the gender imbalance on the panel. Karen Hardy, currently a presenter on the sister show “It Takes Two”, has been touted as a potential newcomer at 6/1, while former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips, is second favourite to come in at 5/1.
“This weeks show might be an anti-climax as it looks all but certain that Rob Rinder will go,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams. “So inevitably the focus will turn towards Len’s replacement which looks a cracking market.”
