Patrick Robinson and his professional partner Anya Garnis took to the dance floor once again this week and danced the Viennese Waltz to Celine Dion’s A New Day Has Come.
Last week, Anya felt like she let Patrick down a little bit when she got her heel stuck in her dress. “It was definitely a moment to remember,” she said. The Viennese Waltz is one of the most romantic dances and this week, he needs to infuse everything has has learnt into the one dance.
Last week, Patrick and Anya scored a total of 25 points as a wardrobe malfunction caused the pair crucial points. Craig said that Patrick is one of the best in the competition but it was unfortunate that things went “horribly wrong” last week. Len added it wasn’t a Samba, it was a “whamba” as he “came out and whammed it!”
- Craig Revel Horwood: “You never disappoint rythemtically, but your head position is bothering me… Unfortunately, Anya’s feet came off the floor so it became a lift at the end”.
- Darcey Bussell: “You put a lot in there, it’s just a shame that you don’t look as comfortable. Just for me, I expect so much from you now and I’m being picky as I want to see you here in four weeks time”.
- Len Goodman: “Good movement, nice say. Bad standing spins and I didn’t like the ending… it was ugly. It was all rushed, it isn’t your best but it definitely is not your worst”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “At the end you crash landed. You put a lot into it and that ending… it was such a shame as it lost the whole effect”.
Patrick & Anya received a combined score of 32 with an 8 from Craig, an 8 from Darcey, an 8 from Len and an 8 from Bruno.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:20pm with the all important results show.
