Phil Tufnel is said to have angered his Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Virshilas by his lack of commitment to the show.

Tufnell allegedly skipped dance rehearsals last week, leaving Virshilas high and dry.

A source told the Daily Mail: “This is Katya’s first time on Strictly and she really wants to do well. Obviously it’s down to the public how far they both get, but she wants to put on the best possible performance.

“She’s committed to the show and doing everything she can to make sure Tuffers does everything he can to progress.”

A BBC spokesman commented: “Phil is in training and people will have to watch to see how he does. All the dancers and celebrities are training hard.”
