Former jockey Richard Dunwoody has been tweeting about how difficult he is finding his training for Strictly Come Dancing.

Dunwoody has tweeted that his professional partner Lilla Kopylova may need to “get the whip out” if he doesn’t improve.

“Now fully sunk in the enormity of what’s ahead of us in the next three weeks,” he wrote.

“No holiday here… a few more hours in the studio today for SDC [Strictly]…some of what Lilia has told me is starting to sink in…just.”

In another post, he said: “If Lilia wrote reports: ‘He is prepared to work hard. Just as well really. He needs to!”

“OMG why is shimmying so bloody difficult!” he joked.
