Strictly Come Dancing 2013: Rod Stewart performs ‘Can’t Stop Me Now’
Rod Stewart took to the dance floor this evening to perform his new track Can’t Stop Me Now
The global superstar has sold over 100 million records and took Strictly by storm this evening – there definitely was no stopping him.
Not only that, the professional dancers from Strictly took to the dance floor with Rod – a million miles away from Jessie J’s flash mob with green glow sticks, who probably had to be escorted from the premises for partying too hard.
Speaking to Bruce Forsyth he said he played Glastonbury in 96. He joked that he and Bruce could do a duet next year as most of his songs had clearly been written about him. His legs are on fire – probably from the arthritis.
Rod said he would love to do Strictly Come Dancing in the future if he was ever asked.
The track is taken from Rod’s latest album, Time, which is available to purchase now!
Strictly Come Dancing kicked off this evening with a brand new set of celebrities including Rugby hunk Ben Cohen, pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor, fashion designer Julien Macdonald, reporter and presenter Susanna Reid, Model Abbey Clancy, presenter Vanessa Feltz, Hollyoaks actor Ashley Taylor Dawson, golfer Tony Jacklin, Dragons Den star Deborah Meaden, Countdown star Rachel Riley, actress Fiona Fullerton.
The line-up is completed by Dave Myers, Patrick Robinson, Mark Benton and former Corrie star Natalie Gumede.
