Strictly Come Dancing: Tess Daly Pledges Support For John Sergeant
Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has pledged her support for John Sergeant following recent criticism of his performance in the competition.
John has received low scores from the show’s judges in recent weeks, but the broadcaster has continually been saved by the public vote.
Bruno Tonioli recently revealed that he’s “appalled” with the public voters who have supported John, adding, “I don’t understand it. It’s a dancing competition.”
Writing in her column for The Mirror, Tess hit back saying, “He may not be the best dancer but he’s adorable and people power is keeping him in the show. At the end of the day, it’s not BBC Sport – it’s an entertainment show.
“Dancing talent will eventually prevail in the competition, but for now people enjoy watching John dance. He has the feelgood factor and, with the recession, we could all do with a bit of that.”

OK everyone seems to want to have a sideways knock at Celebrity Come Dancing by voting for John Sergaent who is by far and away the worst of the dancers left in the show.He actually revels in the fact that he knows he is the worst and thats a gas, as he is actively showing that he dismisses the concepts of the judges of the show as a whole and believes its a popularity show…and doesn’t it make you sick at the self love that corny Bruce Forsyth shows every week..perhaps voters are desperate to vote him off as well, I am !
Actually, if the judges start giving John 10/10 they can play a double bluff and get their own back on the devious thousands working to upset the concept of the show.Come on judges don’t fall into the trap of complaining, give the public what they want…an old bloke with two left feet crowned king of the dance floor…and to hell with skill, energy and ability|

John should stay. “Strictly” is not a contest exclusively between “professionals” If it were then the public would not be asked to vote and celebrities like John would not be asked to take part in the first place.unless the reason is to humiliate him (because anyone with an ounce of common sense would know that John is not going to become a top ballroom dancer within a few weeks. However the amount of effort and improvement plus entertainment value he has achieved is something we can vote on and he has worked just as hard and achieved equally with the others. It is all about effort SURELY!.
The judges particularily Len should hang their heads in shame by their continued humiliation and singling out of John whom is onlyplaying the game by the rules. Len should aalso remember that if he were on a traditional “Strictly” show of professionals only, as the old series was, when there were very low viewers ratings, then he Len would be earning “peanuts” no one would know who he is, never mind getting a lucrative contract in America and bleating about travelling time etc. Possibly it is Len Who Should Go.

SACK Len he does’nt know the rules, his remarks are offensive. John Sargent is only doing what he was requested to do by the BBC. he should not be subjected to Lens humiliating remarks.

When will the judges realise that the general public aren’t voting for John at all?
They are voting against the judges.

I have loved John Sergeant up until now but if he is not voted off soon then it could be the end of Strictly for good. Neither judges nor professional dancers will want to take part again if the winner is comical rather than a hard-working dancer. It would be very sad to lose one of the best programmes on TV.
