Queen of the dance floor Natalie Gumede is the Lady of the Lake this evening as she dances the Viennese Waltz with her professional partner Artem Chigvintsev to Natalie Duncan’s ‘Devil in Me’.

Last week, Natalie and Artem once again topped the score board with 35 points. Her sexy samba gave Len “palpitations”. Appearing on It Takes Two earlier this week, judge Darcey Bussell said that Natalie needs to let go a little bit more and stop overthinking the choreography – that will turn her 9s into 10s.
This week Natalie and Artem have been practising their haunting Viennese Waltz, hoping to improve on their already amazing scores gained so early on in the competition, with Natalie admitting that she is fearful of forgetting her steps.

By far the most Halloween appropriate performance from the pair, they filled the dry iced-covered dance floor with effortless turns and memorising side sequences, leaving no doubt that the judges comments would be good ones, especially with everyone in the house getting to their feet to applaud them at the end.

Judges Comments

  • Len Goodman: “It was lovely and I think you are a wonderful dancer – But each dance throws up it’s own challenges now the challenge in the Viennese Waltz is to stay in that hold, maintain your posture and keep that going.  The little bit you did, I loved but it started to have the feeling of almost an America Smooth type of Viennese Waltz.  So as much as I loved it, you have to push this girl.”
  • Bruno Tonioli: “I don’t think there is a person in the country right now who isn’t screaming ‘THIS WAS MAGIC'”
  • Craig Revel Horwood: “You make me sick Darling, you are fab-u-lous!”
  • Darcey Bussell: “I expect so much from you, but you never disappoint.  It was a dream!”

Both Natalie & Artem received a combined score of 38 with a 9 from Craig Revel Horwood, a 10 from Darcey Bussell, a 9 from Len Goodlam and a 10 from Bruno Tonioli.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:20pm in which another couple will be given the boot.
