Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has revealed that the show’s stars are petrified about this weeks launch of the show and also at the prospect of leaving first.

Writing in her column for The Mirror, Daly commented: “Of course my big news is that Strictly is back on Friday and on Saturday we’ll lose our first couple. They’re pretty much all petrified and none of them want to be the first to leave.

“For me one of the most thrilling moments is seeing them all together for the first time on the dance floor.”

The presenter also revealed that the show becomes a big event in her home, with her foru year old daughter dressing up for the night.

“She’s going to put her best dress on to watch it on the telly, which I thought was lovely,” Daly explained. “When I told her we were on Friday and Saturday for the first couple of weeks she was over the moon because that meant she got to wear two.”
