ITV1 and Andrew Lloyd Webber have announced the lineup of this summer’s brand new reality TV series, ‘Superstar.’
All live show finalists in the series will be battling it out on stage to sing the title role of Jesus in the first ever UK arena tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary Jesus Christ Superstar. This new rock production will play in arenas nationwide in the Autumn and demands not only the highest vocal standards but also someone that can act and captivate massive arena audience.

The Really Useful Group today announce the first ever Arena tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar.
Award-winning musical comedian Tim Minchin – also the co-writer of West End smash musical Matilda – is confirmed for the role of ‘Judas Iscariot’. Three million album selling pop icon and former Spice Girl Melanie C will take the only female lead as ‘Mary Magdalene’, and BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show host Chris Moyles will make his major stage debut as ‘King Herod’, in what is set to be one of the biggest and most impressive arena tours to hit the UK & Ireland.

Nathan James may have been rejected from BBC’s The Voice, but the long haired rock singer still has options.
The talented performer revealed months ago that he was intending to try out for ITV’s new talent show ‘Superstar’, which is fronted by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and it has been claimed that he impressed the composer massively at his audition.

We’ve had folk singers, ballad singers, soul singers and indie singers and this weekend, we will be seeing a bona fide rock singer on BBC’s The Voice.
With his long blonde locks and plentiful facial hair Nathan James certainly looks the part and he even has a celebrity fan! The performer was once described by X Factor’s Simon Cowell as:
“A male Joss Stone and a young Michael Bolton”

BGT judge Amanda Holden has told This Morning viewers that not only is she “completely fine” after her life and death labour with baby Hollie, she’s back to her keep fit regime already.
Amanda gave birth to Hollie in January, and within weeks, she was back in her seat on the BGT judges’ bench, and – annoyingly – looking like she’d never had a big meal, never mind a baby.
But of course, the reality was that as Amanda had placenta previa – meaning the placenta was lying over the birth canal – she faced a life and death battle which resulted in her heart stopping for what must have been terrifying minutes.
However, she said, “I’m completely fine. I’ve been running this week.

Amanda Holden has confirmed that she will be presenting new ITV series ‘Superstar.’
Despite reports that the new mum would be taking an extended break from work and spending extra time with her family and young daughter’s once Britain’s Got Talent ends, the 41 year old has revealed that she will be moving into a new show almost as soon as BGT finishes in May.

The 41 year old – who belatedly celebrated her 40th birthday at a star studded party this week – is reportedly being considered for the role of host on ITV’s newest reality TV show ‘Superstar.’

Andrew Lloyd Webber has claimed that he wants to start a religious debate with his new ITV reality TV show.
The famous composer is looking for an actor and singer to take on the lead role in his hit musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and is currently whittling down hopefuls in the audition stages, before the live shows start this summer.
He told STV that he is hoping the subject matter of his musical will spark conversations about religion when the series begins and explained:

ITV have confirmed to Unreality TV that Andrew Lloyd Webber has invited Melanie C and Jason Donovan to assist him at callbacks for their new talent series ‘Superstar.’
The show will search for a talented actor and singer, to take on the role of Jesus, when Lloyd Weber’s ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ starst on it’s rock arena tour later this year.
After initial auditions held in various nationwide cities, callbacks begin later today and will last until Wednesday.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that he might end up choosing a woman to play the role of Jesus, in his new rock arena tour.
The composer will front a new reality TV show for ITV1, titled Superstar, in which he will be searching for a singer and actor to take on the lead role in his hit musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar.’
