Britain’s Got Talent is over, The X Factor hasn’t quite got under way but fear not reality TV fans, ITV will not be leaving you bored and idle this summer.

If you’re not into the current summer series of Big Brother, then you might be interested to know that the UK’s latest talent show is set to launch in just a few week’s time and we have the first promo below.

Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dawn French and Jason Donovan will be judging on ‘Superstar,’ in which Lloyd-Webber will be on the hunt for a talented singer who can take on the lead role in his hit musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar.’

The rock opera will be hitting the road for a UK arena tour next year and along with the winner of the ITV series, the cast will also feature Mel C as Mary Magdalene, Tim Minchin as Judas and Chris Moyles as King Herod.

The new promo for the show will start airing on ITV from tomorrow night before the show starts early July but we have a sneak peek at it here for you all this morning.

The video is based on the famous final scene of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and insiders told Unreality TV that Andrew loved filming the witty spoof.
