As fans of Superstar will know, last night, Dirk Johnston became the second wannabe Jesus to be eliminated from the contest, which has prompted hopeful Jon Moses to make a promise…

And that is that if he wins the show – and therefore lands the lead role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical, Jesus Christ Superstar – he’ll strip naked and run starkers through his hometown of Durham!

Speaking to the Sun, Jon said, “If I win I will celebrate by running naked through Durham, my home town.

“I’ll use a star to cover my modesty.”

Ah, now Jon, there was no mention of a ‘star’ originally now was there? I think not…

However, Jon went on to say that his girlfriend Claire might not be too keen on that form of victory run.

Well fair dos, I guess I wouldn’t be overjoyed if it was my boyfriend, but Jon already has a lot to celebrate just by being on the show, because he was of course originally lined-up as an understudy, and would only have made it to the live shows had someone else dropped out.

However, he was added to the finalist list after Lloyd Webber decided he’d made a mistake by not including Jon in the last ten, so the last ten became the last eleven.
