Adam Lambert has admitted that some of the songs on his newest album, have a bit of a ‘f*ck you’ message behind them.

The former American Idol runner up is set to release his second studio album ‘Trespassing’ later in 2012 and revealed that the theme behind a number of the tracks is quite rebellious and energetic.

The flamboyant singer told The Daily Star:

“There are songs on the album about me rebelling against society and saying, ‘F**k you, I’ll do what I want’.

Adam also revealed that the songs cover a whole variety of risque subjects, including ‘cruising for sex’ and insanity. He added:

“‘Cuckoo’ is about me acknowledging I’m insane and celebrating that fact. And ‘Shady’ is a sleazy, disco funk about cruising for sex, so it will be interesting to see how Middle America interprets that.”

Adam’s lead single from the album – “Better Than I Know Myself” – will be released in the UK as a digital download on March 12, 2012.

Trespassing will follow later in the year and includes collaborations from stars such as Pharrell Williams, Benny Blanco, Bonnie McKee, Katy Perry, Nile Rodgers, Sam Sparro and Bruno Mars.

Adam Lambert has finally released a preview of his next single ‘Better Than I Know Myself.’

The former American Idol contestant produced a teaser clip this afternoon and revealed that the track will be the lead single from his second studio album Trespassing.

The video which accompanies the song is a fairly laid back one and shows the singer relaxing, reading, meditating, looking at himself in a mirror and looking pretty darn hot if we may say so!

Speaking about the song and explaining it’s lyrics, Adam told MTV:

“It’s about the relationship you have with yourself, between your dark and light side. It’s about duality; it’s about that balance and finding it and struggling to maintain it and what it means.”

The chorus contains the lyrics:

Cause if I wanted to go I would have gone by now,
But I really need you near me to
Keep my mind off the edge
If I wanted to leave I would have left by now,
But you’re the only one that knows me
Better than I know myself

The official music video for ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ will be released in two days time, on February 3. The official single is expected on March 12, 2012.

Big hearted Adam Lambert has once again used his birthday, as a chance to do some good in the world and support a charitable cause.

The former American Idol contestant turned thirty yesterday and in a message to his fans, took to his Twitter page to tell his followers that he wanted their help to ‘change the world.’

As well as refraining from sending him gifts, the extrovert singer asked that his fans ask their friends not to buy gifts for their birthdays but instead ask that their nearest and dearest donate the money they would have spent to charity.

Last year for his 29th birthday, Adam raised more than $300,000 for charity: water. According to the charity, that amount broke the record for most donations in a single day, and crashed their servers. This year, as an ambassador for the organisation, he wrote:

“It means that when people ask you what you want for your birthday, you tell them that you’d like clean water, and ask them to donate money, 100% of which will directly fund water projects.”

He added:

“Wait until you see how amazing it feels, and together, I bet we can raise over a million dollars, which will bring thousands of more people clean water.”

Since his time on Idol, Adam has regularly used his fame to support good causes. In 2009 he backed DonorsChoose.org, an online education charity that allows the public to directly donate to school projects and later that year Lambert also contributed to the MusiCares charity when he and The Pennyroyal Studio collaborated the design of an Eye of Horus pendant.

In 2010 March, he released a remix version of his song “Aftermath” with a portion of the proceeds going to support The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBT youth.

Storm Lee has denied rumours that Adam Lambert threw a diva tantrum at his recent record launch.

The former X Factor contestant was celebrating the release of his latest album in a trendy LA Supperclub this week, and sources claimed that Adam Lambert – a former American Idol runner up – arrived late, threw a hissy fit over where he and his entourage were sitting and refused to pose for photographs for press or fans.

We contacted Lee to ask about the reports and he was vehement in his defence of Adam.

Storm told Unreality TV:

Adam and I have known each other for years. He is a charming talented guy. We had our ups and downs but I’m proud I him for being a role model for loads of kids who need one.

So what if he wanted a private table? I’d ask for the same at his party.

It was a club MSA party at supperclub LA called ” God Save The Queens” which I was hosting and previewing 2 songs from my upcoming record.

Leave Adam alone!

We L.O.V.E Adam Lambert and think he normally comes across as quite a happy, fun and easy going dude, but a story in the press today seems to suggest otherwise.

Insiders claim that the former American Idol runner up turned up to a party to celebrate the launch of Storm Lee’s new album – you remember Storm? The one Louis Walsh made dye his hair red on last year’s X Factor – and threw a bit of a strop.

The launch took place in LA and a source told The Mirror that the ‘Whaddya Want From Me’ hitmaker turned up late, demanded a ‘table away from everyone else’ and threw his weight around a bit.

It is claimed that he refused to have his picture taken with fans or by press,which makes you wonder why he bothered attending at all.

An insider claimed that the only time Lambert chilled out and cracked a smile was when Lady Gaga’s backing dancers had a ‘dance-off’ with some of Kylie Minogue’s.

However, fans of Adam dispute this story and say that he enjoyed the evening from beginning to end, would never throw such an obvious diva tantrum and point towards photos of the event, which show the star smiling and looking happy, alongside his boyfriend hunky Sauli Koskinen.

Insiders have promised that Adam Lambert’s Behind The Music episode, will be one of the most revealing shows ever made about the American Idol star.

The 29 year old singer shot to fame on the 2009 series of the hit Fox reality TV show and recently announced that he would be the subject of the VH1 series, which regularly documents the rise of musical artists or groups who are interviewed and profiled, and discuss how their careers became successful and what hardships they undertook.

Airing next month on the 7th August, the special will take a close look at Lambert’s personal and professional life over the years. It will reveal how he first realised he was gay when he was just in the 6th grade, and follow on to how he decided to come out to his friends and family when he turned 18.

The Hollywood Reporter states that the show will also chronicle his musical theatre career, from his time on the European tour of Hair, to his stint on Wicked and will feature interviews with Lambert’s parents, Island Def Jam exec. Barry Weiss, friend Scarlett Cherry, Idol’s Season 8 winner Kris Allen and Idol expert, Shirley Halperin.

Adam Lambert has used his career to promote many causes and charitable projects and some of his hard work is set to be recognised at an awards ceremony next month.

The American Idol star will be honoured at the 2011 Los Angeles Equality Awards, it has been revealed. The prize-giving will take place on August 13 at The Beverly Hilton.

Equality California Executive Director Roland Palencia released a statement saying:

“We’re thrilled to honor Adam Lambert and Facebook whose work has been a catalyst for social change and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality.”

“Their courage and leadership in entertainment and social media have helped Californians become more supportive of LGBT rights.”

Lambert recently played a large role in the “It Gets Better” campaign, in a video promoting the cause the glamorous singer said:

“It seems hard. I think being different is always going to be a tough climb. There’s always going to be people that are going to be scared of it. But at the end of the day, if you give those bullies and those people that are so ignorant and fearful of your lifestyle, if you give them the power to affect you, you’re letting them win, and they don’t deserve that. What you’re doing by being who you are is you’re keeping it real and being really brave.”

He also released a remix of his album track, Aftermath, the proceeds of which were donated to The Trevor Project, a suicide-prevention charity for LGBT youth.

Adam Lambert fans have a few pieces of great news coming their way today.

Firstly, the socially aware American Idol star will be recognised at this year’s Los Angeles Equality Awards and secondly, VH1 have announced a date for the premièring of his updated Behind The Music TV special.

As well as some exclusive and never seen before performance footage of the flamboyant star, the programme will also contain new interviews with Adam, as well as commentary from his family, friends, co-workers and fellow Idol competitors.

Lambert’s official website states:

“During Adams episode airing on Wednesday August 10th, you will witness never-before-seen home video footage, interviews with family, friends, industry experts and musical luminaries including Barry Weiss and “American Idol” Season 8 winner Kris Allen.

“Adam also gives us a sneak peak into the studio while working on his second studio album. Be there to hear what he has to say about his next work of art. This is not to be missed and will remind us all, why we fell in love with this pop music powerhouse.”

The eleventh season of the popular TV series will also take an inside look Behind The Music of performers such as Missy Elliott, Ice Cube, and Mary J. Blige.

Former Pussycat Dolls singer Carmit Bachar revealed on the micro blogging site that she is expecting her first baby and told her followers:

“Omg… I’m gonna be a mommy!!! #stillcantbelieveit.”

Lambert was quick to respond and tweeted back to Nicole Scherzinger’s pal:

@IamCarmit a GREAT mommy.”

To make matters even better, a large number of Adam’s followers (of which he has more than a million) retweeted his message, sending the mommy love to the 36 year old singer.

Bachar left The Pussycat Dolls in February 2008. She is currently recording her debut album with a debut solo single to be released in 2011.

Adam Lambert is always gracious to his fellow singers and The Voice winner Javier Colon admitted that he was bowled over, when after his win last week, the first congratulatory tweet he received was from the American Idol star.

Javier was always amazing on the NBC singing show and it is clear that Lambert saw something special in him from the start. Back in May he told his Twitter followers:

Javier is one of the contestants on #thevoice ! I actually have an EP of his from a few yrs back. Loved him then and now!!!

After a live performance on the show, he later tweeted:

Javier!!! Gave me the chills!

In a post win conference call with reporters, Javier spoke of his gratitude for Lambert’s recognition, saying:

“Adam Lambert was one of the first to send a nice tweet. He’s very talented so I felt really happy to get that.”

Lambert has grown his Twitter following to over 1.1 million fans, so there is no doubt that any endorsement from him is a great one!
