We loved Ade Edmondson in Bottom, we loved him in Holby City and tonight we loved him in Let’s Dance For Comic Relief.

The TV funnyman returned to the stage for the final of the charity series and once again almost made us pee our pants with his hilarious Dying Swam ballet performance.

Although Ade did make some effort at perfecting a few genuine ballet moves, the routine soon returned to the slapstick manner he is best known for and though his old pal Rik Mayall did not whack him on the head with a frying pan, he did drop a black, supposed 1 ton weight on his head.

After the performance judge Rufus Hound commented:

Well tonight I think Ade made us all ask questions that I think none of us have the answers for. When people talk about Ade Edmondson are they talking about the writer, the actor, the director, the producer ….not anymore…they’re talking about that idiot.

Miranda Hart added:

Well not many people know this but Ade and I were at tHE Royal Ballet together and can i just say, I’ve let myself go, you’ve still got it!

Louie Spence quipped:

We’ve seen dance tonight on this show and this was classical ballet, this is a pure form of dance. This was executed to the highest of standards. It was a wonderful beautiful swan.

Ade (Adrian) Edmondson and the Eighties Super Group have won a place in next week’s Let’s Dance For Comic Relief final.

Ade wowed the judges and audience earlier in the night with his Dying Swan performance. The whole event was set off by a surprise visit from his old Bottom pal Rik Mayall who appeared just to bash him with a frying pan…judging by the huge bump Adrian is now sporting on his head, Rik may not be invited back next Saturday.

The Eighties Super Group found themselves fighting for a place in the final against ITV2 presenters Joe Swash and Carloine Flack, but they won the vote of judges Felix Dexter and Jo Brand and will get to perform their Greased Lightening routine again!

On hearing the results Chesney Hawkes admitted: “I’m totally shocked to be honest with you.”

Adrian and the 80′s stars will battle it out with Russell Kane, Katie Price, Charlie Baker and James Thornton and Noel Fielding next Saturday. Who do you think will win?

Hell’s Kitchen finalists Ade Edmondson and Linda Evans have been allowed to pick some of their former colleagues to return to the kitchen and help them out for the show’s final.

After last night’s ‘disastrous’ night in the kitchen, Linda and Ade each got to choose two celebrities to assist them in tonight’s show.

Ade picked Niomi McLean-Daley and Danielle Bux whilst Linda brought back Anthea Turner and Bruce Grobelaar.

But who will win? Personally I am backing funnyman Ade, who I just discovered today has been married to Jennifer Saunders since the 80′s. Who will you be rooting for tonight?
