Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden has told The Mirror how she warned Simon Cowell not to hire a judge younger than her for the show.
Over the last two years Simon has tinkered a lot with the X Factor judging panel, but Amanda says that she wouldn’t stay on BGT if he did the same with that show.
Holden told The Mirror:
“I said to Simon: ‘If you ever wheel in anyone younger than me, I’ll kill you! I’d rather leave the show!’” she laughs.
“I’m really looking forward to the new series and I love that I can be myself. I remember the first day I worked on the show and Simon said to me, ‘This is a great gig, isn’t it?’ You can just turn up and you don’t have any lines to learn!

Jonathan Ross turned his caustic tongue on the Britian’s Got Talent judges last night, as he appeared on Charlotte Church’s Channel 4 chat show.
Speaking to Charlotte, Ross said:
He said: “Simon Cowell knows what he’s talking about, but Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, they’re just a waste…
“What’s she ever done? She’s been in a couple of West End shows; she’s not got much going on. And Piers Morgan has been sculpted from lard. So I’m not a fan of those shows.”
If I’m honest, I’d have to agree. Simon makes the show. The other two are definitely expendable.

Amanda Holden has admitted to having a course of botox last year. Hardly a surprise really. I think anyone could have guessed after seeing her trying to cry on this years Britain’s Got Talent.
She told The Sunday Mirror: “Yes, I’ve had Botox. I had it done last June before I went to South Africa [to film ITV drama Wild At Heart] because in the sun you are constantly frowning.
“I haven’t had it recently, it lasts for about three months. People say it’s injecting rat poison into you but you’re actually injecting things your body naturally produces, so your metabolism absorbs it.”
Amanda also revealed that she would like plastic surgery, but is waiting for more advanced techniques before going under the knife. Read more & comment »

Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden has promised that this years TV talent show will be bigger and better than last years series.
Amanda thinks the improvement is down to the extra care that the judges took this year in choosing which acts to put through to the live TV show stage.
“It took us a lot longer this year and Simon spat his dummy out on several occasions but it’s a better show than last year in my opinion. It took us a long time,” she said.
“Last year I think it was much more an emotive show and it was highly emotional - this year I watched it with a different eye. Read more & comment »

Holden told The Sun:

Many people have things to say about TV’s Mr Nasty, Simon Cowell, but few have ever called him a pussy cat!
On ITV’s chat show, Parkinson, Amanda Holden spills the beans about her fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge saying:
“He is a pussy cat. I have never seen someone with such a huge following and obviously so successful as a man, as he is at the moment, who has so much time for everybody.”
That won’t do his street cred much good!

The circus comes to town as Britain’s Got Talent hits the air. First there were singing competitions; now anyone is eligible to win as judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden commence their quest find Britain’s top talent.
Be it dancers, jugglers, magicians or comedians, our three judges prepare to be amazed by the wonderful, the wacky and the plain weird, presented to them by Ant and Dec.
And for the first time, the public is allowed in the audition room. Filmed in front of a live audience, our three judges see the best and the worst of what the country has to offer. The select few will get past the judges’ and the audiences’ critical eye and make it to the live finals.
And only one will reach the ultimate prize - the chance to appear in front of The Queen at The Royal Variety Performance.
