There is never a dull day on Britain’s Got Talent.

Poor old Amanda Holden is supposed to be resting, after giving birth to her second baby only two weeks ago and subsequently spending three days in intensive care. However, insiders told The Sun that the 40 year old actress offered to return to work on the ITV show’s judging panel this evening, when she heard how badly the audience were reacting to her stand in.

Simon Cowell flew in Baywatch star Carmen Electra to keep Holden’s seat warm at this week’s London auditions, however as the days have passed, it seems that the blonde bombshell has not been quite the hit he would have hoped.

We earlier reported that Carmen was greeted by boos and jeers every time she spoke at yesterday’s tryouts in London’s Hammermsith Apollo and newspapers have also claimed that the American actress was humiliated each time she opened her mouth to speak, because onlookers as well as fellow jugde David Walliams mocked her every word.

She did bring much of the treatment on herself, it has been claimed, as she was extremely harsh even with talented acts, copied Simon’s every buzz and in a bid to keep the music mogul attention, even gave him a provocative lap dance at one point.

The Sun reports that on hearing the reports, Amanda called Cowell last night and offered to return to the judging panel today, he refused but the star will be back by the time the team hit Edinburgh this weekend.

A source said: “Simon was refusing, saying that Carmen must stay. But she has gone down like a lead balloon with fans.”

It is thought that Holden will visit her doctor today and if given the all clear, will take her newborn baby to Scotland with her to record the show.

Carmen Electra will reportedly be the stand in judge at today’s Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

It has been claimed that the stunning model and actress will stand in for Amanda Holden, when the tryouts hit London’s Hammersmith Apollo this afternoon.

Holden will of course be missing the event, after giving birth to her new baby daughter Hollie Rose only two weeks ago. It was a traumatic labour, which ended with the actress in critical condition for three days and needing multiple blood transfusions. She was only released from hospital late last week and understandably needs a bit longer to recuperate, before returning to her day job.

Carmen – real name Tara Leigh Patrick – will join David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell today, as they whittle down another hunch of hopefuls performers, hoping to make it through to the live stages if the ITV series.

The former Baywatch actress is also best known for her roles in movies Scary Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Disaster Movie.

She has some reality TV experience, having appeared as a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance Season 8 on July 6, 2011.

David revealed on Twitter last night that ITV bosses were bringing an outsider in to sit in Amanda’s place, but was keeping tight lipped about their identity. He tweeted:

The London auditions for #BGT start tomorrow, and there is going to be an amazing new guest judge…though for now I am sworn to secrecy about who they are!

Amanda Holden has posed for this beautiful family portrait, just days after being released from hospital.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge is keen to show fans that she is on her way to recovery, after the traumatic birth of her new daughter – baby Hollie Rose – left her in critical condition for three days, two weeks ago.

Last night, Amanda’s rep released the above photo of Holden with her husband Chris Hughes and six year old daughter Lexi, and an insider close to the actress told The Sun:

“Amanda wanted to release a happy picture to say, ‘Don’t worry, I’m back, I’m well again’.

“She’s blown away by all the love and warm wishes from people. She had major complications with the birth and needed several transfusions. But she’s a fighter and an old pro. She wanted to draw a line under those difficult days and move on.”

Because of her health issues, Amanda will miss today’s London auditions for the ITV show, however she is planning to be back at the judges’ table in time for next week’s tryouts in Edinburgh.

It was reported yesterday that the new mum plans to bring her baby daughter with her for the auditions and will have friends and family helping her out with childcare backstage.

Amanda Holden must be desperate to keep her seat on Britain’s Got Talent, as word is she’s ready to rush back to the show, less than a month after giving birth to her second daughter.

The 40 year old actress was rushed into hospital last week and ended up in critical condition for three days, after Hollie Rose was born. However, insiders say that despite only being released from hospital a few days ago, Amanda has already committed to returning to work and will attend next week’s Edinburgh tryouts.

She will be taking her infant with her though and sources say that show bosses are happy to have the baby girl behind the scenes while filming takes place.

A source told The People:

‘She thinks people on the set will be delighted to have a baby there. She is absolutely besotted with Hollie, she is beautiful. Amanda is so contented and happy.’

Holden never employed a nanny when her daughter Lexi was little and she is hoping to work the same way this time round, and wants to juggle her career with her family life so that she and husband Chris can be the main caregivers.

A source added:

‘Amanda has never had a nanny. She has always preferred to take care of Lexi herself, and wants to do the same with Hollie.’

Holden has confirmed that she will be missing this week’s London auditions and ITV bosses have reportedly found another star to take over on a short term basis. Well we say one star, but it could be two, as earlier today David Walliams caused a bit of a buzz on Twitter when fans began to suspect that Jedward would be joining him in the capital tomorrow.

Amanda Holden is reportedly doing much better at home, after her recent health scare.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge ended up losing a lot of blood and was in critical condition for three days last week, after she gave birth to her second daughter Hollie Rose.

The baby girl is in perfect health, however the experience took it’s toll on Amanda and she stayed in hospital for a few days longer than most new mums.

The 40 year old actress was released earlier this week though and her family have revealed that she is doing much better and loves being home with her new baby, her six year old daughter Lexi and husband Chris.

One source close to the family told The Sun:

“Amanda has improved so much.

“She is surrounded by family and it seems to be just the tonic.”

The Britain’s Got Talent London auditions will go ahead without Amanda next Wednesday, though it has been rumoured that Simon Cowell is planning to bring in a guest judge to take her spot for a few days.

However insiders have commented that the new mum is hoping to be back in the hot seat when the ITV show hits Scotland and may be back at the judges’ table, when auditions kick off in Edinburgh next Saturday.

Amanda Holden is thankfully recovering from her latest health scare and was yesterday allowed to return home from hospital.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge had been rushed to her obstetrics unit last Sunday, and went on to give birth to her second daughter, Hollie Rose. However the birth was a traumatic one and resulted in the actress spending three days in critical condition, reliant on blood transfusions and constant monitoring.

Yesterday afternoon doctors judged the star to be well enough for discharge and insiders say the new mum was elated to return to her family home and six year old daughter Lexi and claimed that she now feels her ‘life is complete.’

A close friend of Amanda told The Mirror:

“Despite the trauma she has been through she has never been happier and feels now her life, and her family is complete.

“It has been a tough couple of weeks but Amanda is looking forward to some quality time with the family.”

Amanda’s agent Alison Griffin released a statement saying:

“We are delighted that Amanda is now home. She and Chris would like to thank everyone who was involved in her care for their amazing skill and dedication, and also thank everyone who sent kind thoughts and wishes.

“She is thrilled to be home with her family – Hollie is absolutely beautiful and Amanda and Chris are besotted with their girls.”

Amanda will now take some recuperation time before returning to Britain’s Got Talent and next week, auditions for the ITV show will go on in London without her.

It has been rumoured that Simon Cowell will choose a female star as a stand in for the blonde beauty and front runners for the role are said to be Myleene Klass and Samantha Womack.

However, the former Eastenders actress has said that while she was in talks with show bosses about taking a seat on the panel, before Alesha Dixon was hired, she will not be guest judging on the show….guess that just leaves Myleene then!

Alesha Dixon has admitted that she is missing Amanda Holden from the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel.

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge jumped ship from BBC to ITV earlier this month, and has seemingly gotten close to the older actress during the few auditions they attended over the last few weeks.

However, Amanda missed last week’s Blackpool and Cardiff tryouts, after she signed herself into hospital and faced an emergency caesarean, that left her fighting for her life.

The star remained in critical condition for a number of days after the birth of her new baby daughter on Monday and is still recovering from the trauma.

In an interview with the official ITV website, Alesha admitted that she misses Amanda and explained:

“I’ve sent her a message of support and I wish her a speedy recovery.

“I love Amanda to bits – I’m missing my partner in crime and can’t wait for her to come back.”

The singer confessed that she is finding it hard to get in the middle of Simon Cowell and David Walliams’ new bromance and revealed that she had to shout at both men during yesterday’s auditions, because they wouldn’t let her speak.

She added:

“Last night, I shouted at Simon and David during auditions in Cardiff. I told them to ‘Shut up!’ because they wouldn’t let me get a word in edgeways.”

Holden is unlikely to be back on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel for at least another month, however ITV officials have confirmed that they are looking at possible temporary replacements and TV presenter Myleene Klass, as well as former EastEnders actress Samantha Womack have been tipped for the role.

Myleene Klass and Samantha Womack have reportedly been asked if they can stand in for Amanda Holden at this year’s Britain’s Got Talent auditions in London.

ITV have confirmed that they are looking at stars who will work as temporary judges with the other panel members – Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon – after it was revealed that Amanda Holden will spend a second week in hospital following the traumatic birth of her new baby daughter Hollie on Monday.

The 40 year old was in critical condition at the start of this week and has been subject to a number of blood transfusions and though it is expected that she will return to the ITV show later in the year, for now producers are looking at stars who may be able to step into her shoes on a short term basis.

Insiders claim that TV presenter Myleene and Eastenders star Womack are currently favourites for the role and are being considered for the auditions set for February 6.

“We always had planned bringing in some special guest judges for when Amanda went off to have the baby,” a source told The Mirror.

“We are sticking to three judges in Cardiff at the weekend but we would like someone in the fourth seat by the time we film in London on February 6.

“Amanda knows she is welcome back but the show must go on and we need another judge as soon as possible.”

A medical source told the newspaper that Holden’s recovery is a bit behind where it should be and explained:

“She is ­recovering but is a few days behind compared to a standard caesarean because of the problems she had,” a source told The Mirror. “We’re hoping she’ll get her energy back at the weekend.

“She’s been through hell but won’t mind because she had a beautiful baby girl.”

Samantha was rumoured to be joining the panel on a full time basis last year and is said to have held talks with Simon Cowell about the possibility of joining the show.

Myleene not only has TV experience but is also an accomplished musician and singer. She shot to fame on a reality TV show, after she became one of the winners of the 2001 series of Popstars and landed a place in pop band Hear’Say.

Amanda Holden has given birth to a healthy baby girl, however it has been revealed that the Britain’s Got Talent judge has not come out of the experience unscathed and is currently in ‘critical condition’ herself in hospital.

We revealed yesterday that the 40 year old star had missed Blackpool auditions for the ITV show, after experiencing pains and checking herself into her local obstetrics unit.

Her spokesperson confirmed this afternoon that the blonde actress had given birth to Hollie Rose Hughes, who weighed in at 6.1lb yesterday, however she herself has been very seriously ill for the last few days.

Holden’s rep Alison Griffin says that the star is now out of the woods and is now in a stable condition. Doctors have informed her music producer husband, Chris Hughes, that they are now expecting her to make a full recovery.

Amanda gave birth to a stillborn baby boy last year, seven months into her pregnancy and also had complications which led to a caesarian section when delivering her daughter Lexi, now six years old.

Amanda Holden has reportedly admitted herself into hospital today and will there fore be missing the Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Blackpool.

The heavily pregnant actress was scheduled to join Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon in the seaside town this afternoon, for another round of tryouts for the ITV show.

However, sources have claimed that she began to suffer from pains yesterday and was so concerned that she visited her local hospital, where she remains under observation.

Amanda was due to meet her fellow judges at a plush hotel in Lytham St Annes this morning, but her spokesperson has confirmed that instead she traveled to her obstetrics unit, where she was met by doctors and midwives.

It has been claimed that reporters who turned up for today’s tryouts were told that Holden is in early labour. When she announced her pregnancy last year, a fan asked if Amanda was expecting her baby near her birthday in February, Holden replied: ‘Much before.’

Show bosses have since revealed that today’s auditions will go ahead as planned but with the three judges instead of four.

It must be a fraught time for Holden, as just last year, she gave birth to a stillborn baby boy, seven months into her pregnancy. She has previously endured a miscarriage and when she discivered she was pregnant once more late last year, she left her role as Princess Fiona in Shrek, so that she could rest more and be careful while expecting her second child.

This time Holden is pregnant with a baby girl, who will be sister to her six year old daughter Lexi with husband Chris Hughes.
