Piers Morgan has revealed that Susan Boyle was incredibly nervous about her appearance on America’s Got Talent last month.

Morgan told The Mail On Sunday: “Susan, despite what some people seem to think, is a very funny, quick-witted lady. But like a lot of performers, she gets incredibly nervous before big performances. And she was today.

“‘It’s a bit daunting,’ she admitted, ‘thinking of so many people watching me sing here for the first time’.'Barbra Streisand apparently throws up before every show,’ I reassured her.”

Piers Morgan has said that Americans will go all out to beat Susan Boyle’s Britain’s Got Talent performance in their own American version of the show.

Morgan told The Futon Critic: “The British show got record ratings up 50% because of the Susan Boyle phenomenon. And I have got no doubt that we are going to see significant increases in the ratings of America’s Got Talent this summer.

Jerry Springer has stepped down as host of America’s Got Talent.

Springer says he won’t be on the show when it returns later this year and in a statement yesterday, he revealed he’s leaving the show because of other commitments. These include his talk show and a stage role.

Springer called his job on America’s Got Talent “an amazing ride.” His replacement for the upcoming fourth season wasn’t announced Thursday.
