Sharon Osbourne has been a very vocal supporter of young Jackie Evancho, after she and her fellow America’s Got Talent judges discovered the amazing youngster on last year’s season of the show.

The former X Factor judge described the young opera singer as ‘heavenly’ when she first heard her perform and this week, while promoting her new album, the 11 year old met with Sharon again during an interview on The Talk.

During their chat, in which Osbourne displayed real affection for the youngster, Evancho talked about some of the most impressive famous people she has met since being signed to Simon Cowell’s record label. She admitted:

I loved Oprah, and Mohammed Ali and the President….I loved meeting them.

And on her favourite place in the world, the little girl laughed:

“I love being in Malibu. It’s so cool there, and the water is just, it’s nice….and I love the beach.”

Piers Morgan is going to become a daddy, and he and his wife Celia Walden have announced that they are expecting their first child.

The couple – who tied the knot in Oxfordshire, South East England, last June – will welcome a baby into the world this winter, with journalist Celia being four months pregnant, according to the Mail on Sunday newspaper.

Chat show host Piers – who already has three sons from his 20-year marriage to Marion Shalloe, whom he divorced in 2008 – first met Celia on a photoshoot, claiming she was “way out” of his league.

He then proposed to the 34-year-old beauty while on a romantic trip to Paris by presenting her with a book by her most-loved writer John Updike, entitled ‘Marry Me’.

The pair then tied the knot in a quiet ceremony, where he neglected to even invite fellow ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge Simon Cowell to the nuptials.
He said: “I couldn’t trust him to turn up on time.”

Simon later retorted: “I hate to admit it but I’m absolutely thrilled for the two of them. Having met Celia, I have no idea how he managed to pull this one off.”

Lauren Alaina has revealed that despite making it through to the final two on this year’s American Idol season, she had previously been turned down by America’s Got Talent producers on a number of occasions.

The sixteen year old singer was being interviewed on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” along with AGT judge Piers Morgan on Thursday evening, when the former newspaper editor praised her and claimed she was a better singer than the eventual Idol winner Scotty McCreery.

On hearing his opinion, Lauren confessed that she had twice been turned down for his show, adding:

“I got second place, you denied me! I swear. Look it up…I didn’t make it past the first round.”

Piers exclaimed, “This is a scandal…….This is now what Americans call… this is awkward.”

“I’m going to get these producers! The moment this finishes, I’m getting them!”

Lauren then joked:

“So, for all of the people who try out for ‘America’s Got Talent’ and don’t make it, try out for ‘American Idol’!”

After the show, Piers took to his Twitter page to add:

“CORRECTION: My #nbcagt producers just told me it’s wrong that @LAlainaAI10 was rejected twice for the show. Apparently it was three times!”

Simon Cowell is said to be planning to launch the music career on young Jackie Evancho in the UK later this year.

The eleven year old singer came second on last year’s season of America’s Got Talent and was so talented and flawless at singing her audition piece “O mio babbino caro”, that bosses asked her to sing a quick non planned voice exercise on the live semi final, to prove to viewers that the previous performance had not been lip synched.

Cowell was so impressed by Jackie’s vocal skills and the amount of backing she had from the American public, that he is now planning to make her the first contestant of the reality TV show that launches a career outside their home country.

He told The Sun:

“I’m always excited when we find a star through one of our shows.

“I have to congratulate the America’s Got Talent team and I’m thrilled Jackie’s making records for us. I think she is a total star.” Jackie has already sold 1.5million albums in the US.

She said: “I never really had a pop voice, but even if I had I’d have gone with classical.

“It’s different from what many other children do and you’re able to show emotion in classical.”

After shooting to fame on the TV show, Jackie went on to record an album with record label Columbia Records. She released ‘O Holy Night’ on November 16, 2010 and it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, making her the top-selling debut artist for 2010, and the youngest female solo artist to debut in the top 10.

The album sold 381,000 copies in its first two weeks and on December 10, 2010, the album was certified platinum by the RIAA with an excess of a million copies in the US, making her the youngest solo artist to go platinum.

Nick Cannon has admitted that he already wants more children with Mariah Carey, even though she only gave birth to their baby twins a few weeks ago.

The couple became parents to twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe last month, and while the pop diva is insistent that she doesn’t want any more children, the ‘America’s Got Talent’ host would happily enlarge their brood.

Asked if they are unlikely to have more children, Nick said: “Yeah, I think we are if you ask my wife.

“I keep threatening her with getting her pregnant again, and she doesn’t like it. She doesn’t think that’s funny. I heard women are their most fertile after they have children…”

On how they came up with names for their new tots, Cannon admitted that they came up with the monikers months ago.

He said in an interview with PopEater: “It’s funny, I always say we had our names picked out very early on – we picked one of the names like the first date that we had. But it’s kind of weird that they stayed the same.”

The rapper also discussed the inspiration behind the twins’ names, and said he likes the monikers because they are so “strong”.

He said: “Monroe, obviously, my wife has always been inspired by Marilyn Monroe, she bought her priceless piano and all that stuff. And I just like the idea that is was more than just naming our daughter Marilyn. I think that would’ve been a little too cliche. Monroe is a very strong name – it sounds really elegant.

“And then Moroccan was kind of more my pick. When you think about Moroccan, it’s kind of both of our names together — Mariah and Nick together. And I always like the name Rock. Rock Cannon. It sounded like a strong name.”

David Hasselhoff tried to “chin” Piers Morgan on ‘America’s Got Talent’.

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge Amanda Holden – who is to be joined on the ITV1 show by the former ‘Baywatch’ hunk and British comedian Michael McIntyre – admitted it’s probably a good job Piers Morgan has quit the series to launch his US chat show career.

She revealed: “Well I think the Hoff threatened to chin him! I think, in the past. But when they were first on ‘America’s Got Talent’ together I think there was a bit of a feisty chat … but then they made friends.”

Despite David’s “feisty” personality, Amanda thinks it’s a great idea to have him on the panel, but will miss former judges Piers and Simon Cowell.

She added to ITV1′s ‘This Morning’: “Simon is coming back for the live finals and the semis, but he will not be there for the auditions – although he’ll be like big brother, he’ll be watching from somewhere.

“I will obviously really miss the boys because there was a brilliant chemistry but I’ve been a massive fan of Michael since when I went to see him about four or five years ago, and the Hoff I just think is very funny. I always thought a yank on a panel in England trying to see English eccentricity would be a great idea.”

Susan Boyle was forced to pull out of a planned performance on America’s Got Talent last night.

The Britain’s Got Talent star had been rehearsing Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’ for the show, but the Velvet Underground singer decided at the last minute that he didn’t like the Scottish spinster and banned her from singing the song.

SuBo was left with just two hours to learn and perfect a new track but decided to cancel instead.

An insider told The Sun: “She had flown to America to do this and was very excited.

“Her version of the song was perfect. You could tell she was upset.

“It’s very disappointing for her.”

America’s Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne has admitted that she hasn’t respected her body over the years.

Sharon was on ITV’s Loose Women, talking about the large amount of plastic surgery which she has undergone over the years.

The former X Factor star said:

“I got to the point where I wasn’t respecting my body.

“I was chopping it, changing it. You have to respect your body.”

But the 57 year old might not be done yet. When asked if she would have more surgery she added:

“If my chin drops to my stomach, yes.”

Piers Morgan may be about to quit Britain’s Got Talent, as he lands a lucrative TV contract with US TV network CNN.

The former newspaper editor, who also judges on America’s Got Talent, has come to the attention of TV bigwigs in the States after his successful ITV series, ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories’. The show allowed him to prove that he was more than a reality TV judge and channel bosses are said to be intent on replacing veteran chat show presenter Larry King with the British star.

NBC, who air America’s Got Talent are said to be shaken by rumours about the CNN deal and have offered him a similar styled chat show on their channel. However, Morgan looks set to go with the CNN offer.

A television source told The Telegraph: “CNN bosses have been desperately searching for somebody to revamp the show. Larry’s ratings are massively down year on year – and Piers is just the chap.

“Piers is utterly thrilled by the prospect of the deal and knows that taking over the Larry King show means that something will have to give.

“America’s Got Talent finishes in mid-September, so it seems Larry will be moved to a weekend show then and be ousted from his nightly prime-time slot.

“Piers has discussed it all with Simon Cowell, who gave him his big break on America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent, and has his blessing.

It definitely looks like he will have to give up Britain’s Got Talent as NBC want him to continue on America’s Got Talent, which opened to record ratings earlier this month.”

Our question is can Britain’s Got Talent survive without Piers and with the reduced presence of Simon Cowell. Cowell recently hinted that h wouldn’t be attending the audition rounds for the 2011 series of the show, so now he’ll be looking for two new replacements. That might just be more changes than a show can take!

The Daily Star has claimed that Susan Boyle’s recent performance on America’s Got Talent was pre-recorded.

A source told the newspaper: “Given Susan’s history, no-one was taking any chances. It was a sensible precaution to get her songs in the can.

“It took the pressure off her and enabled her to relax and give her best in front of her biggest ever audience.”
