Well folks, it’s that’s time of the week again! And for once I’m not entirely sure where this post is going…
I think we’ve gotten to a little bit of an awkward stage in the competition, where the good skaters are very good, and the ones that weren’t so good, are starting to improve and catch up with them, this means that unfortunately the weaker skaters are exposed, and for me Rosemary Conley sticks out like a sore thumb. And whilst I applaud her spirit and mentality for even giving the lifts a go, I do think it might be the right time for her to leave. I think she was very over marked this evening, but then the scoring did seem to be a little bit all over the place.

Andy Whyment certainly brings the fun to Dancing On Ice and this evening we couldn’t help but laugh at some of his antics in rehearsals.
He is always so light hearted and enjoyed a lot of jokes with coaches Torville and Dean, as well as some giggles with his professional partner Vicky Ogden but this week, he also tried to knuckle down and improve on his basic skating skills, with special emphasis on his lifts.

Jorgie Porter, Jennifer Ellison and Andy Whyment all missed their Dancing On Ice rehearsals at the end of this week, because of the cold spell that has descended over the UK.
The actors were stuck in their Northern England hometowns, after ice and snow led to the cancellations of many trains and transport services and bosses were said to be panicking that the absence of three of their contestants, could throw Sunday’s show into disarray.

Andy Whyment has admitted that his Coronation Street co-stars have been taking great pleasure in his clumsiness on the ice rink.
The Dancing On Ice contestant is of course best known as hapless Kirk from the ITV soap and speaking to What’s On TV he revealed that his closest pals have admitted that they are tuning in to watch him, in the hope that he will slip up on a live show.

On tonight’s Dancing On Ice there was a new twist, which saw each couple being paired with another pair at their own skating level, for an on ice duel.
Coronation Street star Andy Whyment was pitted against fitness guru Rosemary Conley and they along with their partners took to the ice together this evening.

Andy Whyment and Vicky Ogden were joined in their Dancing On Ice rehearsals this week by former show winner Ray Quinn.
The pint sized star helped them with their ‘Grease’ themed routine and who better to advise them than the man who has previously won the ITV show and toured with the Grease stage show.

We can’t wait to see Andy Whyment on Dancing On Ice this evening, just to see if he is half as hopeless and gormless as his Coronation Street character Kirk.
The 30 year old star has been partnered with brunette beauty Vicky Ogden for the 2012 series of the ITV show and recently admitted that his Corrie pals have told him that they expect him to be more like ‘Bambi On Ice.’ He confessed that his first few weeks of training were tough, however they have been better than most as he is so far one of the only contestants not to have sustained an injury during rehearsals.

Dancing On Ice kicks off on ITV1 tonight and the first batch of celebrities will take to the ice for the first time.
In the debut show of the 2012 series, viewers will be treated to performances by Sugababes star Heidi Range and her stand in partner Andrei Lipanov, Ski champion Chemmy Alcott and her partner Sean Rice, Dallas actress Charlene Tilton and professional Matt Gonzalez and Blue Peter star Andy Akinwolere and his trainer Maria Filippov.

New Dancing On Ice contestant Andy Whyment has admitted that he will not be getting the normally obligatory spray tan for the first live show.
The Coronation Street actor was announced yesterday as one of the celebrities who will be taking to the rink when the 2012 series starts this Sunday and while he will don a tight sequined outfit for the occasion, he will not be going out looking like an oompa loompa he has revealed.

Coronation Street favourite Andy Whyment admits he never imagined taking part in Dancing On Ice but is feeling proud of his achievements so far even if he has to take constant mocking from his cast mates.
