We were a little shocked when we tuned in to Red Or Black tonight and saw a very familiar face on the new show.

The gameshow launched on ITV this evening and former Big Brother contestant, Angel McKenzie, made it through to the final eight who all had a chance of winning £1 million on the live show.

We checked out her Facebook page, where she confirmed that she had won a place on the show, writing:

“Should i say it proudly? dont know? but i’m one of the eights contestant to win 1 million pounds on a new Simon Cowell show “Red and Black”. Came last night through the last audition… very exited… live in september on ITV with Ant and Dec… still can not beleive it…”

The 37 year old boxer and artist starred in the 2009 series of Big Brother, when it still aired on Channel 4.

She became the third housemate to be evicted from the reality TV show, after she and Halfwit (Freddie) were nominated in a live nomination and she received the least amount of public votes.

Speaking about her big chance on tonight’s Red Or Black, Angel told ITV.com:

“I like to entertain people! Life can be so boring, I want to entertain and prove that miracles and good things can happen.”

At the end of tonight’s episode, Angel made it through to the final contestants for tomorrow night’s live show, though many on Twitter were in uproar, saying she already had her shot at TV fame. Leave your comments below.

Former Big Brother housemate, Angel McKenzie is said to be planning a sex change when she emerges from the Big Brother house.

The 36-year-old is said to have already consulted gender reassignment specialists in London. Her adoptive father, Clinton McKenzie told Star Magazine:

“Angel wants a sex change. She wants to become a man and to fight men in the ring.

“She’s obsessed with boxing and will do absolutely anything to live her dream.”

He added: “She is really convinced that she could become a world champion as a male boxer.

“When she told me, I was petrified. I told her she was mad and that I wanted nothing to do with it. She’s very stubborn though.”

Noirin has explained Angel’s weird behaviour saying that she has “nothing else to bring to the table”.

“People use their looks, bodies, clothes, different things to get attention in the house,” she said. “She has to get it in a different way. She’s stepped up her game well this week.”

Siavash agreed saying: “What pisses me off is, everything you say, she does. Don’t say ‘I’m an artist’, say you have a creative mind.

“I hang around with artists, she’s not an artist.”

Cairon then listed all Angel’s supposed professions saying: “She’s a fucking boxer, an artist, doctor, trainer, a businesswoman.” to which Noirin responded: “It’s not a business, it’s a lie.”

Big Brother housemate Angel has blasted Indian student Sree for staring at the females breasts.

Sree was in the garden supposedly viewing a recording of his group practising for the Ole Bamboo task, however Angel caught him watching a tape of the female housemates instead.

“What are you watching,” she asked.

Sree replied: “What did you say?”

“What are you watching? Girls with Boobs?” Angel persisted.

Sree told her to shut up.

“Girls with boobs!” Angel repeated.

“I’m not interested. I am a good boy,” Sree responded.

Yesterday morning Angel took advantage of the fact that all her fellow big Brother housemates were still asleep and decided to take a leisurely dip in the pool.

Unfortunately for us, she decided NOT to don her swimming suit and went for a paddle in her birthday suit.

Big Brother housemate Angel is on a mission to prove that she can survive on fluids only for three days. After a row erupted over Noirin’s intention to go on hunger strike, Angel decided to prove her point and show that a fluid diet is completely doable.

Last night Angel asked Charlie to save the water in which he cooked his pasta for her to drink.

Angel said: “Can you, do not throw away water from spaghetti?”, to which Charlie replied: “You want the water from the spaghetti? To drink?”

Kris asked: “Are you on glue, Angel?”

Angel said: “On these three days, I want to show that it’s absolutely healthy do not eat three days.”

Charlie replied: “Angel, I don’t think you should do that, it’s not normal. Angel, I can feel your ribs.”

Angel then quipped: “Feel a bit more, baby, feel a bit more!”

Charlie said: “Angel, I’ve told you, I like a girl with a bit of meat on her bones.”

I didn’t know whether to believe Big Brother’s Angel last night, when she claimed to be a former Russian popstar.

After watching her video above I am even less sure now. Surely this poor attempt at rapping couldn’t have won any music awards? Are Russians deaf?

Angel is a 35 year old professional boxer and artist.

Originally from Russia, Angel is an ex-rock star who moved to England twelve years ago. She is passionate about boxing and fitness and runs a gym owned by her ‘adopted’ father, a former British & European boxing champion. Angel is a teetotal non-smoker and if she could pass any laws she would make gyms free and introduce a four-day working week.

Angel left home aged 24 to become an international rock star; she was well known in Russia and released one album. Angel admits to being attracted to beautiful women and clever men but is currently single.

Angel feels that once in the house she will fit somewhere between the leader and follower. She will approach the Big Brother experience like a boxing bout where you need to know your opponents strengths and weaknesses.

Poor Angel has had more sex in her dreams than in real life!
