Britain’s Got Talent 2011: Ant and Dec prefer three judge format

Ant and Dec have admitted that they prefer a three judge lineup on Britain’s Got Talent.

The judging panel expanded for tonight’s first semi final of the series, as Simon Cowell jetted in from America to rejoin his colleagues – Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff – for the live shows.

However the extra vote caused problems at the end, as when faced with the choice between putting either Joe Oakley or Paul Gbegbaje through to Saturday’s final, the panel split and forced the show into deadlock, meaning the result had to be based on the public votes once more. We’re all serving members of the Royal Marines band service. We’ve got people that have been in the group for 3 to nearly 20 years. Our ages range from 18-37. The Highway Men do something a bit different and just enjoy what we do. We’re all keen drummers. For us to win Britain’s Got Talent would be a great honour and a great privilege for us to play for the Queen.

Britain’s Got Talent 2011: Ant and Dec name Ronan Parke as their ‘star of the week.’

Ant and Dec have admitted that signing sensation Ronan Parke was their favourite act on last week’s Britain’s Got Talent show.

The 12-year-old schoolboy has been compared to Justin Bieber, since he was seen wowing the judges with his version of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good on the ITV show. However he wasn’t at all confident in his ability and suffered badly with nerves before taking to the stage, according to show hosts Ant and Dec.

They said: “Surely the star of this week’s show was 12 year-old Ronan Parke, who was absolutely terrified before going on stage but really need not have been. He received a well-deserved standing ovation from the entire audience in the HMV Hammersmith Apollo and the three judges too, not often that that’s happened believe us.

Dr Haze and The Circus of Horrors have reportedly been chosen to appear on the live rounds of the ITV reality TV show and insiders say the panel – Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff – were stunned when they watched their daredevil stuntmen at their initial audition.

However, it has emerged that the group may have had links with show presenters Ant and Dec, as in 2007 they took part in the duo’s entertainment show ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ and even roped the presenters in to their act by getting them to limbo dance under a rope of fire and stand between two men throwing knives at each other.
