Tonight’s Latin-themed DanceX on BBC One saw the public vote force Bruno to pick one of his team to leave the competition.

Having watched each team perform as a group for the first time, the voting public decided that, this evening, Arlene’s team was the best.

This left Bruno to pick the two contestants he considered to be the weakest performers in his group to compete directly against each other for the chance to stay in the competition.

He chose Becky and Daniele, who then had to sing and dance one more time for his approval.

After their performances Bruno said: “This is a nightmare because I have to think of the group as a whole. I’m going to save Daniele.”

Becky said after her eviction: “I’ve never sung in front of anyone before but now I feel like I can do it. It’s been so emotional.”

The 13 remaining hopefuls go on to perform in their groups next week, to prove to the nation that they can be the best all-singing all-dancing group.

Becky, 24, is originally from Bangor in North Wales and is fluent in both Cantonese and Welsh. She began dancing when she was two-years-old and had learnt jazz, tap and modern by the time she was 11. Her dancing career has since taken her around the world, having Korea, America, Indonesia, Holland and Spain.

She auditioned for DanceX when her friend saw an ad for aspiring dancers but only she made it through. She admits she is excited but terrified that she will freeze on live TV.
