In order to milk the fact that we attended last week’s Big Brother final, I’ve compiled a list of reasons why you should attend a BB final yourself.
Even if you hated this year’s housemates with a passion, something about actually attending the final eviction show is worth while because…

In order to milk the fact that we attended last week’s Big Brother final, I’ve compiled a list of reasons why you should attend a BB final yourself.

Even if you hated this year’s housemates with a passion, something about actually attending the final eviction show is worth while because…

Waiting in a queue for hours outside Elstree Studios rocks! (And in the rain, too…)

When the ex-housemates come on stage, it’s like watching the cast of a pantomime lining up after the performance to take a final bow.

You suddenly remember that the housemates are all human beings, and they’re not that bad after all. With the possible exception of Rex. They all seemed to get on well with each other onstage, despite what they’ll inevitably claim in the newspapers afterwards.

You get to see things that happen off-camera – like Rex mysteriously leaning over the back of the ex-housemates balcony while being flanked by staff to prevent people taking pictures of him. We’re still not sure what was happening there, but we were thinking up conspiracies for hours after!

You get to see your favourite housemates in the flesh. And I’m talking from a hotness point of view here. And while Dale and Stuart are good-looking guys, they’re extremely full of themselves.

The off-air bits are brilliant – basically, there’s this warm-up guy who keeps the chatter up before the show and during the ad breaks. His greatest skill is that he managed to say something positive about every single housemate as they appeared onstage.

You realise that no matter how crazy the housemates are, Big Brother fans are crazier. The plethora of placards and strangely dressed people are worth attending for by themselves. There are some serious BB fanatics loose in the real world!

Davina! If you think Big Brother would be better off without McCall, you’re mistaken. She flicks into ‘TV mode’ quicker than Jeremy Clarkson drives in residential neighbourhoods and is really pleasant with the audience. Her finest moment at the final was staring down a bunch of hecklers who were being nasty about the housemates.

Anyway, that’s another item ticked on my ‘List of things to do before I die’. If we get Big Brother back for another year, you should seriously consider attending a live eviction.

If you were at this year’s final, say hello in the comments!

Big Brother bosses have started the gossip wheels turning early this year as they prepare for the shows kick off this June. Whilst getting the BB house refurbished they have asked to have a small child sized bed installed, sparking rumours that they will be allowing a contestant to bring in their son or daughter.

A builder working on the refurb told the Daily Star: “We were decorating the bedroom when we got word of a surprise delivery. A lorry pulled up and out came this small bed.

“We thought someone was pulling an April’s Fool joke on us. But it was there as clear as day. We had to take it into the Big Brother store room where we keep props and furniture.

“It’s got us all wondering what on Earth is going on. Either a kid is going in the house or maybe one of the contestants
is very small. It’d be a first in the UK to have someone’s son or daughter on the main show.

“Can you imagine? Knowing Big Brother and how cruel they can be I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the housemates’ kids is coming in – and how embarrassing would that be for their poor mum or dad.

“Or they might make one poor soul sleep in this tiny bed for the whole series – I don’t think it will be for a dwarf.
“If you’re stuck in something that size for 13 weeks you’ll be screaming for a good night’s sleep by the end of it.”
