UPDATE 3pm: Big Brother just revealed that the exhibit housemates only have to stand still and remain silent for one hour, but this is a secret from the guards, Sara and Scott!
I guess then the aim is for the exhibit housemates to fail while trying to convince Sara and scott that that’s not the case.
More news soon!
14.50pm: The museum exhibits are getting dressed up. Luke S is a T-rex & Adam and Ashleigh are totem poles. Luke A is the Rosetta Stone and Deana is an astronaut.
13.46pm:Sara and Scott are the security guards! And of Sara’s uniform, Luke S told her, “You look like a stripper.” Charming! Read more & comment »
If there’s one thing that this year’s Big Brother housemates are noted for it’s their singular lack of selflessness, however, as Luke S discovered this morning, if they want to get letters from home, they’re going to have to do something selfless today…
So yeah, good luck with that Big Brother, given that these are people who hide booze, cigarettes and food from each other and who bitch 24/7. I’m not sure they’re capable of being selfless!
Anyway, the news of a new task arrived this morning when a ‘ding dong’ alerted Luke S to the fact that the Big Brother postie had been, bearing news that’s excited the housemates.
He ripped opened the envelope and read that housemates would get to receive letters from home today, and win a prize, on the proviso that they must act selflessly to a series of dilemmas set by Big Brother… Read more & comment »
Even though the housemates have barely recovered from the rigours of last week’s Turf Wars task, today was new shopping task time, and the aim of this week’s game is to make the naughty HMs more aware of Big Brother’s rules, given they keep breaking them!
Entitled, Rules Are For Fools, the task will see three of the housemates becoming Wardens whose job it is to monitor whether or not their fellow housemates break Big Brother’s new house rules.
The task will either be passed or failed depending upon decisions made by the Wardens. No pressure then…
They’ll have to keep an eye out for, and correctly identify, any and all rule breaks over the next 48 hours. If they don’t spot a rule-break, they’ll incur a fail, and equally, if they unfairly hand out a Penalty Ticket, they’ll incur another fail. Read more & comment »
UPDATE 5:20pm – Conor has won a special prize at the conclusion of the Confusing Cuisine task after his fellow housemates deemed him the winner after he stoically downed a minging and ancient egg (the truly icky kind they have on I’m A Celebrity). Click here to see exactly why he won, and man, he deserved it!
His prize was to have sole charge of the shopping list next week and several of the housemates are very, very unhappy about that!
Big Brother really can be quite evil at times, and today, with the announcement of a mini-task, he’s proving just how twisted he can be, given that most of the housemates feel a tad fragile today…
Most excellent!
Entitled, Confusing Cuisine, the housemates were first alerted that a new task was in the offing at around 2:30pm when the living area and kitchen were out of bounds.
Soon after, Big Brother provided a costume of a white shirt and black tie for Caroline, who’s exempt from today’s task as she’s feeling unwell.
So, with Caroline appointed waitress, everyone gathered as the rules of the task were read out, and they’re pretty simple; each housemate must eat one of the dishes that BB has lined up.
Easy no?
No, because the dishes that look like they’re going to be nice – such as cakes – are actually made of something truly revolting. In turn, items that look as if they should be horrendous, such as a pig’s head, are actually not bad at all and more like a treat than a punishment… Read more & comment »
UPDATE! Lydia’s had the giggles, so that’s another fail, and Benedict smiled because he was angry! That may count as another fail… Hello chick peas and rice!
They can’t even smirk, but that’s already been blown by Ashleigh and Scott, who both had trouble keeping in the joy when clowns turned up in the house.
I wouldn’t have had an issue with not laughing; clowns creep me out! Thanks Stephen King and your IT.
Anywho, Arron’s had to dress up like a bird, Adam’s been poured into lycra, and in fact, all of them had to don the infamous shock suits and head off into the garden to get buzzed… Read more & comment »
Today, the housemates have been challenged to a Tug of War, with a twist.
Channel 4’s BB site said of the task, ‘Two housemates are pitched against each other in a simple tug-o-war.
‘However, instead of pulling a rope, housemates each wear a pair of tights over their heads (tied together at the feet) and must use their body strength to pull each other across lines on opposite sides of the garden.’ Read more & comment »
Earlier today, Big Brother set the housemates a task called, Dizzy Quiz.
It entailed the housemates spinning around poles – as per Kate Lawler if you recall that hilarious drinking game! – while answering questions about the newcomers.
The housemates were split into three teams; yellow, blue and green, and ultimately, the green team won.
The green team comprised Ife John James and Dave who will all share a meal with the newbies while the rest of the housemates will be locked in the main house.
The housemates have a new task ahead today, and it’s all about getting to know the new housemates.
Here’s what Channel 4’s Big Brother website says about the task…
‘In order to get to know the new housemates, Big Brother will be setting the original housemates a Dizzy Quiz. The winning team will get to attend a celebratory dinner with the new housemates in the kitchen, while the losers will be left locked in the main house.
‘Original housemates are put into three teams by the new housemates; the teams will then have 30 minutes of revision time in which to swot up on facts about their new housemates before the quiz… Read more & comment »
