After months of gruelling training and nine weeks of competing live to the nation the three finalists from 2007 were chosen, with one finally crowned winner of the series.
But it’s not time to hang up their boots just yet as Dancing On Ice - The Champion of Champions see this years finalists up against the celebrity stars from 2006.
Gaynor Faye, Stefan Booth and Bonnie Langford have been sharpening their skates and practising their performances to rejoin former skating partners, Daniel, Kristina & Matt to take on this year’s rivals . Each couple will be competing against each other to be crowned Dancing on Ice Champion of Champions.
Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will take to the ice for once last spectacular performance for 2007, with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willowby presenting as the six couples battle it out on the ice. Will last year’s winner Gaynor Faye be able to regain her original crown for a second year? Or will this year’s skating stars have raised the bar too high?
The judges scores and the publics votes will be combined and the two couples with the HIGHEST overall scores will skate again in the results show skate-off.
The vote lines will reopen for the public to decide who should be crowned Dancing on Ice - The Champion of Champions.

I tuned in to tonights Dancing On Ice final, anticipating a great show. Mostly because I couldn’t wait to see Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill perform ‘The Bolero’ which won them such acclaim in 1984 Winter Olympics.
The pair’s performance was outstanding, especially considering that they are now more than 20 years older, you really couldn’t have told. But I am surprised to say that Chris’ and Jaynes performance was not the highlight of the show for me.
I was astounded when I realised that all the contestants tonight had to incorporate flying into their routine. As I watched the three pairs perform I couldn’t believe that they had just five days to master this skill. Bonnie Langford had a bit of an advantage over the others, she has flown many times on stage, though in a Peter Pan outfit, not ice dancing skates.
Bonnie Langford acheived top marks from the judges, and managed to earn the first perfect sixes of the series, Stefan Booth also flew brilliantly, I imagine it would be harder for a man. But the pair that took my breath away was definately Gaynor Faye and Daniel. They had the same incredible chemistry that has been obvious from week one, but Gaynor flew and skated with grace. As a fellow tall woman I know how hard it is to appear graceful beside small and petite people like Bonnie. But Gaynor looked at ease and seemed to be enjoying the whole thing.
I am waiting with baited breath to see who get to dance their version of ‘The Bolero’ later tonight and ultimately who will win the show. I am voting for Gaynor and Daniel, but there isn’t anyone there tonight that doesn’t deserve the prize.

This weeks Dancing On Ice show saw each pair of skaters forced to use a prop, and unfortunately Kelly Homes was given a chair!
Kelly was unhappy with their prop from the start stating “When we were given the props and I had the chair, I was quite negative from the start, she says, clearly not chuffed about the chair.
“I just instantly said, ‘That’s it, we’re going to go out this week.’
Well she was right! Kelly and her partner Todd found themselves in the Skate Off for the second time in a row and although the judges saved her from being kicked out last week, this week they unanimously voted to keep Bonnie Langford and ditch kelly Holmes.
The Olympic Athlete was not a bit surprised at the result!
“I pretty much expected it to be honest, Kelly said.
“Obviously Bonnie’s been doing very well.
“She’s been very popular with the judges, so when it’s down to the judges you pretty much know what’s going to happen.
“But I did my best. I’ve done a lot in my life and this is another thing to add to it.
“It’s given me an opportunity to learn something I never thought I’d ever do, and it adds to my life experience.
The competiton is definately starting to hot up and we even saw Bonnie Langford begin to skate alone this week. Who knows what will be next! Maybe David Seaman will manage to get through the week WITHOUT injuring his partner!

Dancing On Ice Fans may not believe it but there are those out there that find the weekly Dancing On Ice show as dull as dishwater and would rather eat their own toenails than watch another episode (no thats not a quote from Carol Thatcher!).
Kevin OSullivan from The Sunday Mirror believes that the show should be renamed ‘Groundhog Skate’ due to its incredible repetitve nature and the TV Is Crying team have come up with nine absolutely hilarious ways to make the show more interesting.
Number nine suggesting a cross-over between Soapstar Superstar and Dancing On Ice is my favourite. Bonnie Langford can’t skate as it is without having to carry Richard Fleeshman on her shoulders!

Bonnie Langford has spoken out against the tabloids who have reported major rivalry between her and fellow Dancing On Ice Contestant Dame Kelly Holmes.
She told the Daily Record that “We are all beginners, struggling with our own demons and hurdles that we can’t get through. We are all as petrified as each other and support each other,”
“I can assure you there is no competition between Kelly and I. We were watching the television together when Kelly said to her partner Todd that she wanted to do a lift because I couldn’t do it. But we laughed about it.”
I’d say that Kelly has more to worry from judges like Jason Gardiner than she does from Bonnie!
Bonnie can’t skate anyway, all she does is hold on to her partner and let him lift her once in a while! Not much to compete with really!

Ice Skating is a beautiful sport and a joy to watch but it doesn’t come without its dangers and thats what the celebrity contestants on ITV’s Dancing On Ice have come to realise.
It seems as though every one has been injured in some way
