Louis Walsh has denied rumours that he has dropped Boyzone….but he did admit that he is no longer working with the man band….same thing isn’t it?
The X Factor judge was being interviewed on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man this evening and when asked about rumours he had dumped the act that shot him into the big time (though if you watch this video you will wonder how that ever happened!) he insisted:
Shane Lynch may have denied rumours that his band Boyzone have been dropped by Louis Walsh, but it seems the X Factor judge has different ideas.
Louis insists that he has went his separate ways from the Irish man band, saying that their time at the top has passed and branding them ‘yesterday’s men.’ Miaow!
Speaking to this week’s heat magazine, he explained his actions, saying: “They’re like Blue – yesterday’s men. There’s too much competition for them.”
We always knew that Simon Cowell’s right hand eejit Louis Walsk talked a lot of crap, but it’s nice to have it finally confirmed from someone who is acquainted with him personally.
Boyzone singer (and tattooed hunk!) Shane Lynch has rubbished recent reports that his group have been dropped by the X Factor judge and are now on the brink of splitting.
It was reported that Louis was annoyed because the boys’ comeback tour had sold less tickets than he had hoped and was also put out by Ronan Keating’s recent extra marital affair.
Louis Walsh has reportedly broken all ties with Boyzone and told them to break up.
The X Factor judge has managed the Irish boyband since he put them together in 1993 and last year, Walsh masterminded a reunion which saw them embark on a new UK tour and the release of another album.
However, the ticket sales for the tour were disappointing and their most recent single release – “Love Is a Hurricane” – only reached number 44 in the UK charts. Many believe that fans of the band never got over the tragic death of singer Steven Gately and think that Ronan Keating’s well publicised extra marital affair, hurt their public image.
Natalie Imbruglia will perform with Irish boyband Boyzone, as they mark the first anniversary of Stephen Gately’s death.
The group will sing on the Australian version of The X Factor, where Imbruglia sits on the judging panel alongside Boyzone member Ronan Keating. She will replace Keith Duffy, who is unable to fly to Oz because of his hectic Coronation Street schedule.
Members of Irish group Boyzone, have revealed that they hope to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of Stephen Gately, by appearing on X Factor Australia.
The singer died of natural causes on the 10th of October last year, while enjoying a holiday with his husband Andrew Cowles in Majorca. All four of his bandmates travelled out to Spain to bring his body home and were on hand to carry his coffin into St Laurence O’Toole church in Dublin for the his funeral.
More revelations have emerged today over Boyzone singer Ronan Keating’s split from wife Yvonne.
The Sun reports that Yvonne found a mobile phone hidden in a bag, and when she looked through the inbox on it, she found “suggestive messages” from Francine Cornell, the dancer who Ronan allegedly slept with while on tour.
A source told the paper, “Yvonne confronted Ronan with the phone – there was nothing he could say.
“She ordered him to leave the family home and told him the marriage was over.
“She’d heard whispers and rumours about him cheating with Francine during the tour.

Boyzone singer Ronan Keating has confirmed that the band are considering performing a tribute to the late Stephen Gately on an upcoming X Factor show.
Responding to rumours that the four remaining Boyzone singers would appear on the show, the Irish singer said that they were considering it but it would have to be “done right”.
