Louis Walsh has denied rumours that he has dropped Boyzone….but he did admit that he is no longer working with the man band….same thing isn’t it?

The X Factor judge was being interviewed on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man this evening and when asked about rumours he had dumped the act that shot him into the big time (though if you watch this video you will wonder how that ever happened!) he insisted:

I haven’t dropped them, I just don’t work with them anymore. We had a great time together, it was fantastic.

On why he no longer wants to work with the ‘Love Me For A Reason’ hitmakers, the Irish star continued:

They are all doing their own things but they aren’t doing music full time Alan, that’s the problem.

Keith is in Coronation Street, they are all doing different things but there was no big row….nothing like that.

They were my first big band, I’ve got nothing but good memories…honestly.

Someone should probably tell the band that Louis has opted out though. Earlier this week, Shane Lynch insisted that the rumours were all false saying:

“No, Boyzone are not splitting up. That’s just Louis being his usual self. It’s all news to us. He’s been saying that he’s been ­leaving since 1993. I wouldn’t listen to any of those ­rumours.”

Apparently Shane should have listened after all!

Meanwhile in an earlier magazine interview, Louis reportedly branded Boyzone as ‘yesterday’s men,’ saying that the mix no longer works without Stephen Gately.

Shane Lynch may have denied rumours that his band Boyzone have been dropped by Louis Walsh, but it seems the X Factor judge has different ideas.

Louis insists that he has went his separate ways from the Irish man band, saying that their time at the top has passed and branding them ‘yesterday’s men.’ Miaow!

Speaking to this week’s heat magazine, he explained his actions, saying: “They’re like Blue – yesterday’s men. There’s too much competition for them.”

He added: “You have to have something amazing as there’s so much talent out there: JLS, One Direction, Westlife, The Wanted…”

Louis says things weren’t the same after the death of member Stephen Gately in 2009. He confessed:

“Boyzone can carry on, but it wasn’t working. It was great while it lasted, but it’s time for me to move on.”

We always knew that Simon Cowell’s right hand eejit Louis Walsk talked a lot of crap, but it’s nice to have it finally confirmed from someone who is acquainted with him personally.

Boyzone singer (and tattooed hunk!) Shane Lynch has rubbished recent reports that his group have been dropped by the X Factor judge and are now on the brink of splitting.

It was reported that Louis was annoyed because the boys’ comeback tour had sold less tickets than he had hoped and was also put out by Ronan Keating’s recent extra marital affair.

However Lynch claimed that Louis is often prone to telling lies and when asked by The Sunday Mirror about the claims, he laughed:

“No, Boyzone are not splitting up. That’s just Louis being his usual self. It’s all news to us. He’s been saying that he’s been ­leaving since 1993. I wouldn’t listen to any of those ­rumours.”

In fact the studly singer thinks the Irish band have a bright future ahead still and added:

“As far as me and the boys are ­concerned we want to get the next album done by September.”

Louis Walsh has reportedly broken all ties with Boyzone and told them to break up.

The X Factor judge has managed the Irish boyband since he put them together in 1993 and last year, Walsh masterminded a reunion which saw them embark on a new UK tour and the release of another album.

However, the ticket sales for the tour were disappointing and their most recent single release – “Love Is a Hurricane” – only reached number 44 in the UK charts. Many believe that fans of the band never got over the tragic death of singer Steven Gately and think that Ronan Keating’s well publicised extra marital affair, hurt their public image.

A close source told The News Of The World:

“Louis has told Boyzone they’re finished. Ronan doesn’t want to accept it but without Louis they have no chance.”

“The affair changed everything for many fans. It destroyed the family-friendly image that made the band popular. They kept a diehard fanbase but the Brother tour earlier this year wasn’t a big success. Louis didn’t botherseeing a single show.

“The Boyz just couldn’t compete with the Take That comeback, and lots of tickets weren’t sold. So Louis decided it was the right time for the band to finish.”

A source close to Ronan, claimed that while he is currently concentrating on his TV work in Australia, he still sees himself as a member of Boyzone and believs the group can survive without Louis. They explained:

“He has other priorities at the moment but will always remain a proud member of Boyzone, and believes they will work together again in the future.

“Despite what Louis might say, in the end he had very little to do with Boyzone – and the last tour was actually a success.”

Natalie Imbruglia will perform with Irish boyband Boyzone, as they mark the first anniversary of Stephen Gately’s death.

The group will sing on the Australian version of The X Factor, where Imbruglia sits on the judging panel alongside Boyzone member Ronan Keating. She will replace Keith Duffy, who is unable to fly to Oz because of his hectic Coronation Street schedule.

‘I always fancied her from Neighbours so it’s nice to know she has taken my place,’ Keith told the News Of The World.

‘It is going to be hard not going and I will miss the rest of the boys.’

Gately died of natural causes on the 10th of October last year, while enjoying a holiday with his husband Andrew Cowles in Majorca. Members of Irish group Boyzone, have revealed that they hope to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of Stephen Gately, by appearing on X Factor Australia.

The singer died of natural causes on the 10th of October last year, while enjoying a holiday with his husband Andrew Cowles in Majorca. All four of his bandmates travelled out to Spain to bring his body home and were on hand to carry his coffin into St Laurence O’Toole church in Dublin for the his funeral.

When asked how they would mark Gately’s anniversary next month, Shane Lynch admitted that the band’s priority was to spend the day together. They are hoping to meet in Australia, where Ronan Keating is acting as a judge on The X Factor and they may fit in an appearance on the show.

“Hopefully me and the boys will be in Australia,” Shane told the Herald. “We’re trying to get over there for that week. They’re planning to do a Boyzone week on the show so I don’t know if we’re going to perform.

“We’ll do anything really. As long as we’re together on the day we don’t mind.”

The Sun reports that Yvonne found a mobile phone hidden in a bag, and when she looked through the inbox on it, she found “suggestive messages” from Francine Cornell, the dancer who Ronan allegedly slept with while on tour.

A source told the paper, “Yvonne confronted Ronan with the phone – there was nothing he could say.

“She ordered him to leave the family home and told him the marriage was over.

“She’d heard whispers and rumours about him cheating with Francine during the tour.

“Their dancing on stage was very raunchy, but she’d got used to that over the years and trusted him…

“When she saw the texts on the secret phone she was devastated. She realised he’d been lying. The bottom just fell out of her world.

“Ronan could only admit what had happened and take it. They agreed to put out a joint statement about their separation.

“Yvonne just can’t bear to be around him and has told Ronan she wants him gone – it’s over.

“She doesn’t even know if she can continue living in the marital home. Her life has been turned upside down and she’s trying to stay strong for the children.

“All she knows right now is that she wants him out. She will not tolerate lies – no matter how much she loves him.”

We imagine that the joint appearance of the sexy stars duetting on ‘No Matter What’ got the nation’s housewives excited enough to show the nation’s husbands a good time tonight. Of course the appearance of Mika will have counteracted that a little bit but we enjoyed it all the same!

Boyzone singer Ronan Keating has confirmed that the band are considering performing a tribute to the late Stephen Gately on an upcoming X Factor show.

Responding to rumours that the four remaining Boyzone singers would appear on the show, the Irish singer said that they were considering it but it would have to be “done right”.

“There’s a couple of weeks to go and we’ll see,” Keating told GMTV when asked about guesting on the reality series. “If it’s done right, and it’s the right thing, we’d absolutely love to do it. It’s just how we do it.”
