Brad Pitt is said to be so enthralled by the life story of Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty, that he wants to make a movie about him.

Insiders say that the Hollywood A Lister has been watching the Channel 4 documentary series and is aware of Paddy recently winning Celebrity Big Brother and is fascinated not just by his personality but also by his lifestyle and traditions.

Paddy used to make his living as a bare knuckle fighter, and Pitt has some experience of playing that role, having acted as Irish traveller Mickey O’Neil in the 2000 movie Snatch, who was a hardened bare-knuckle boxing champion.

A source told The Sun:

“He’s fascinated by gypsy traditions and is seriously considering making a movie about Paddy’s life.

“He finds it incredible this guy from a closed, secretive community, who was a bare-knuckle fighter, could win a TV show like Celebrity Big Brother. Paddy’s been an underdog most of his life and has now gone on to fame and fortune. Brad loves that sort of story and wants to meet Paddy because he knows he’ll have amazing tales to tell.

“Brad’s eager to talk to him about how tough his background was and to tell his story with the backdrop of the culture he lives in.

“Big Fat Gypsy Weddings is Brad’s favourite thing to watch. The travelling community has a bad reputation but Brad respects their morals, like marrying for life and keeping their kids away from casual sex and drink and drugs.

“He’s convinced Paddy’s story could be interesting to tell and a huge success. People love a rags-to-riches story.”

X Factor winner Shayne Ward ranked slightly higher, coming in at seventh place, beating his new pal Robbie Williams who ranked in thirteenth place!
