The last episode of the brand-new UK version of the hilarious Japanese contest, in which teams of six compete for a cash prize will feature a whole host of past Big Brother contestants it has been reported.

The contestants must endure a series of physically challenging but incredibly silly games – all without making a sound. Next week, to herald the imminent arrival of Big Brother to Channel 5 at the end of the month, the Library is taken on by six former BB housemates including former winners Brian Bello and Josie Gibson.

It started in Japan. It spread to America. Now it’shere. Teams of six friends are challenged to sit in a library and undergo a series of trials and tests, all either pointlessly painful or just plain disgusting. The games all need to be completed against a clock, and they include a host of terrifying and testing physical challenges. If the whole team manages to keep noise levels in the noiseometer’s green zone – i.e. if no one screams, cries, giggles,
cheers or howls – then there could be a cash prize of more than £2,000 coming the gang’s way.

This week’s contestants are six former ‘Big Brother’ participants, who face the dauntingchallenges of the Library in order to win money for Great Ormand Street Hospital. Joining Brian and Josie will be former housemate Sam Pepper, BB3 contestant Spencer Smith, Big Brother 7 runner-up Glyn Wise and BB10
participant Marcus Akin.

We’ve been waiting all day and at 9.55pm this evening, this year’s first full length Big Brother promo aired on Channel 5.

It was like a who’s who of famous BB faces from years gone by and we had quite a lot of fun spotting and naming some of our favourite (and also most annoying) housemates.

We have compiled most of them in a list below, though we know there are some names missing, so feel free to leave a comment below if you can identify any more.

The video starts out with Makosi on the phone and leads into various cast members dancing and miming to an adaptation of David Guetta’s popular dance track – When Love Takes Over renamed When Bruv Takes Over and at the end, as all the BB stars gathered in what looked like a massive field, Marcus Bentley exclaimed:

‘It’s back and it’s ready to take over your summer! Big Brother 2011 starts with Celebrity Big Brother, coming soon to Channel 5.’

Brian Belo has been offering advice to Big Brother bosses again and detailing what he wants to see when the show relaunches this summer.

The former BB winner is excited that Channel 5 have picked up the reality TV show and will kick off their new series in August and speaking about what sort of activities he’d like to see the new batch of housemates undertake while on TV, he told The Daily Star:

“I want a sexy house. I want it to be pool parties, I want it to be drunkenness.

“I want them to have friendships, I want them to have relationships, I want to feel like I know them in and out by the end of it.

“I’ve watched a lot of Big Brothers. I’ve watched the Swedish one, I’ve watched all the Australian ones.

“They all got naked in the Swedish one. On the first night someone did something naughty below the belt! Our one has been good – it’s been notorious – but we need to compete with the rest of the world.

“When you watch Jersey Shore they’re all going crazy all the time. I want Channel 5’s Big Brother to feel like Jersey Shore UK.”

Brian Belo has been giving his recommendations to Channel 5 bosses about what kind of people they need on the new series of Big Brother.

The reality TV series ran on Channel 4 for ten years, before being cancelled last summer. However, we won’t even have a year off from all the fun, as Five recently announced a two year deal with programme makers Endemol and plan to revitalise the format later in the summer.

Former winner (and total superfan) Brian Belo has now told bosses that they need to get ‘sexy’ and “decent, normal people” in the famous house, rather than “freaks”.

He said: “We need a proper sexy year. I want girls where I think, ‘She’s hot’. I want people to get together and I think you should have people in there who you’d want as your mates. You need decent, normal people there because there have been so many freaks in there before.

“We’ve got to look at ‘Big Brother’ differently to how we looked at it 10 years ago. ‘EastEnders’ runs for 10 million years so why the hell can’t ‘Big Brother’? It’s real people, telling real stories.”

With the audition process for the reality TV series – which catapulted the likes of Brian Dowling, Nikki Grahame and the late Jade Goody to fame – now being open, ‘Big Brother’ bosses have revealed they are looking for housemates who aren’t “play actors or show-offs”.

A Channel 5 insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “We are looking for housemates the viewers will love simply for having fun and being themselves. They have to be entertaining, lively and most importantly honest, not play actors or show-offs.

“Our search is to find the best set of housemates the public has seen to date.”

Davina McCall has given her backing to Brian Belo as the next ‘Big Brother’ presenter.

The mum of three presented all previous UK series’ of the reality TV show, but stepped down when it was cancelled by Channel 4 and moved to Channel 5.

Although she will no longer be associated with the show, Davina thinks Brian Belo would be the perfect choice because not only has he won the series before, but he is a massive fan of the format.

She said: “I’ve done my 11 years and it’s time for a fresh channel, a fresh start, a fresh look, fresh feel – and I think the presenter should be Brian Dowling or Brian Belo, who is the proper true fan, or Emma Willis who I really love.”

Although Davina was “heartbroken” when ‘Big Brother’ came to end, she knew it was time to move on.

The 43-year-old presenter added to ITV1′s ‘This Morning’: “I was so identified by ‘Big Brother’ so obviously when they said they weren’t going to do it anymore, not only was I heartbroken but then I had a lot of soul searching to do and thought, ‘What am I beyond ‘Big Brother’?’

“I love ‘Big Brother’, I still think it’s got legs. I really believe that it’s got a future and Endemol will make it good, I know they will. But I’ve said goodbye and I spent a year saying good bye and I went on and I’ve got other programmes now.

“And I’ve got a busy year so even if I wanted to I wouldn’t do it because I was so synonymous with it and I thought there wouldn’t be life after ‘Big Brother’ and now I’ve found out that there is.”

Brian Belo is said to be planning to sue the team behind The Only Way Is Essex.

The former Big Brother winner claims that Lime Pictures and his former manager Adam Muddle stole his idea for the reality TV show and is now bringing legal action against them, claiming lost earnings of up to £100,000 per series.

Belo originally starred in the pilot of a show titled Totally Essex alongside Amy Childs and Mark Wright, who went on to star in TOWIE. He was cut from the show, before ITV2 picked up the entire series.

Introducing the show in the clip below, Belo says:

“I’d say we have the best lifestyle of anyone in the entire country. The way we feel, it’s like screw the recession, we want to have fun. We like our kind of people. We like where we live in Essex and the way we see it in our group we are the Essex elite.

“Anything goes, no skirt is too short, no contacts are too blue, no tans too orange and that’s just the way it is.”

Speaking about the ensuing legal battle, a source told The Sun:

“Brian is very sad it ended this way as Mark, Sam, Amy and Adam were his friends. He spent two years working on an idea for an Essex version of The Hills. His manager Adam is based in Liverpool and pitched the pilot to Lime Productions, who are based in the city.

“They snapped it up and ITV loved the show but Brian was pushed out. First he wasn’t cast but thought he might be involved in producing but he was cut out of that. Brian decided he couldn’t go on reading about the show and see the stars on telly and do nothing. It was his baby.”

Belo added: “I worked on the idea for two years. I wrote the treatment, got the cast together and got a trailer made. I pitched it to production companies. I’m very proud of its success. I want people to know where it came from.”

However Lime Pictures contest the claims and a spokesperson said:

“We have not received any formal complaint from Brian Belo. The format and content of the programme was created and developed by a team at Lime Pictures.”

Tonight on Channel 4, Come Dine with Me is served with a twist.

All the contestants – or should that be housemates – are former Big Brother winners. Stepping up to the plate are Brian Dowling, Nadia Almada, Brian Belo and Sophie Reade.

During Brian’s dinner party, hosted at his mums house in Essex, he manages to persuade Sophie Reade to lock lips with him.

“He got me really drunk so I gave Brian a cheeky kiss. I have got lots of things in common with him. He is very immature and so am I. That is why we get on so well,” she told The Sun.

However, she regretted the snog the next day, and told Belo:

“I don’t want to ruin our friendship. I don’t want to cross the line.”

Brian Belo has admitted that Channel 4 haven’t asked him to return to Ultimate Big Brother.

Belo won the eighth series of the reality TV show in 2007 and was expected to return for it’s final series this week, however he told Sky:

“Channel 4 don’t want me back on Big Brother.”

“I can understand why because they are putting in people who are going to stir the pot. They are putting in people from the first few years of Big Brother.”

On the emtoionions between former couple Preston and Chantelle, Brian added:

“It’s obvious Preston and Chantelle still have a bit of banter going on,” he said.

“I think they will fancy each other again in the house. I can personally see them getting back together.”

Past Big Brother winners Craig Phillips, Brian Belo and Nadia Almada showed up on Channel 4′s 5 O Clock show with Peter Andre tonight and discussed the possibility of making a return to BB this summer.

After the announcement that there will be an all stars version of the show at the end of Big Brother 11, which will feature former winners and popular housemates, Peter asked the group if they would be taking part.

Craig Phillips said:

“I think a few of us will make an appearance in there at some point. Some might be sooner than others, some may be towards the end.”

Baffled Brian Belo said that he hasn’t been approached about appearing on the show at all and offered his own reasons for the snub. He said:

“I just think there are too many other good winners. I’m not as unique as the others. ”

Brian Belo has admitted that he is backing actress Stephanie Beacham and football star Vinnie Jones for this year’s Celebrity Big Brother final.

Brian revealed that he loves the ‘accurate and insightful’ conversations the pair have about their fellow housemates.

“Vinnie Jones’s conversation with Stephanie last night was like Mum and Dad talking about what the kids had been up to during the day,” he told Heat. “Their viewpoints on the housemates are so accurate and insightful and watching them put the world to rights reminded me of many conversations I’ve heard my own family elders have.

“It was quite a touching piece of dialogue that no script writer could ever write with such intense passion.”

He added: “I really want Stephanie and Vinnie to be the final two, now. It could possibly be the oldest finale ever! I always had an image of BB being about the young and extravagant, but it seems the show did need older and wiser housemates to help it turn a corner.

“This single series of BB seems to be the most philosophical so far, when it comes to talking about life. It has definitely broadened my horizons so far, listening to Vinnie and Stephanie’s conversation. I know that sounds quite deep, but it’s true.”
