X Factor: Brian Friedman Talks About Britney Party Days

X Factor judge, Brian Friedman has been reminiscing about his party days when he toured the world with Britney Spears as her choreographer.

Brian revealed: “I worked with Britney in 2002 - being on tour with her was the best couple of months of my life. We saw Europe through beer goggles. It was incredible, we partied hard.

X Factor: Brian Friedman Is Glad Rachel Hylton Is Gone

X Factor choreographer, Brian Friedman has said that he is glad Rachel Hylton got the boot from the show last Saturday night.

MSN quote Friedman as saying:

"It was time for her to be eliminated. I definitely know that she was the bottom of the pack.

"Everyone kept giving her this pass, saying ‘we haven’t seen the best of you’. But she had been in the bottom too many times the public weren’t warming to her. If it had gone to deadlock she would still have gone."

After facing plenty of criticism for his stage shows and choreography from the judges so far, Brian has revealed that he just wants the chance to defend himself to the public.

X Factor: Brian Friedman Blasts Louis Walsh

Louis Walsh X FactorBrian Friedman, creative director of ITV’s The X Factor has slammed judge Louis Walsh for being inconsistent with his acts and for choosing rubbish songs!

Friedman, who left his judges role to become the show’s creative director, said: “Daniel was set to go when Louis made him change.

“And to tell Same Difference he doesn’t like them because they are too cheesy and then make Daniel sing Build Me Up Buttercup; it’s a little inconsistent for my liking.”

It seems as though noone’s a big Louis fan this week. He offered up Daniel like a sacrificial lamb, by choosing that song he knew he would leave, but Louis was not concerned, as long as Niki survived!

X Factor Finalists To Perform Number One Hits

In one of the better themes to be devised by producers, the 12 X Factor finalists will this week take on number one chart hits for their first live show.

Brian Friedman, the shows creative director is said to be working with all the acts in order to make the show as spectacular as possible and hopefully beat Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings battle.

Louis Walsh has spoken out about why Brian Friedman left the X Factor judging panel this month.

Brian’s departure ensured Louis’ return to the show after he had been publicly sacked.

X Factor LogoAfter weeks of speculation, ITV today confirmed the two new Judges for the fourth series of The X Factor. Choreographer Brian Friedman and singer Dannii Minogue will join Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell on the show when it returns to the channel later this year.

Brian, who is currently appearing as a Judge on ITV’s Grease Is The Word, is a world class choreographer who has worked extensively with some of the music industry’s biggest names including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Pink and Beyonce. He said ‘I’m flattered to be offered such a coveted position. After the warm welcome the UK has already given me I’m overjoyed to be extending my stay and work on this exciting new endeavour.’

Dannii Minogue has been a leading figure on the music scene for the past 16 years and has had 19 hit singles and 4 hit albums. She has appeared in West End musicals, DJs in Ibiza and been a Judge on the hit show Australia’s Got Talent in her home country. Dannii said ‘I can’t wait to be part of the X Factor team and getting up close and personal on a daily basis with Simon, but he’d better watch out because when it comes to mentoring the acts because the gloves will definitely be off. X Factor LogoThe Mirror has reported that Brian Friedman will be the X factor’s new judge, replacing Louis Walsh who was sacked earlier this year.

Brian is currently appearing on ITV’s Grease Is the Word and has proved popular with the younger (probably female) viewers.

A TV insider said: “As there will be a kids category, it makes sense to have a younger judge. Simon has been really impressed with his performance on Grease - Brian is bitchy and proud of it.”

He has impeccable credentials, having choreographed everyone from Beyonce to Prince, and judging on the US talent show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. He boasts Britney Spears as a best friend, and has a passion for high-end fashion: Brian Friedman is more than prepared for the judging panel on Grease is the word. But are we ready for him? They may be dazzled by his good looks and American charm, but one thing that the other judges and contestants need to watch out for is his absolute honesty and acid tongue.

What do you think of your fellow judges?
“Well, before this I’d never met any of them. I knew who David Ian was because of the US series Grease: You’re The One That I Want. And I knew who David Gest was, of course, because of Liza Minnelli; but Sinitta was new to me.

Grease: Biography Of Brian Friedman

Brian Friedman began his dance career at an early age in his home town of Scotsdale, Arizona. His mother Judi was a dance teacher and he inherited her passion for dance.

Since quitting school as a teenager in order to commute to Los Angeles to dance, Brian has built himself a highly-respected career as a choreographer, dancer and artistic director.

As a dancer he has appeared with artists including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, George Michael, Christina Aguilera, Paula Abdul and Destiny’s Child.

Having carved a reputation as a dancer Brian began to choreograph and since then he has worked with some of the world’s best known pop artists including Britney Spears, Usher, Beyonce, Pink, Fatboy Slim and Prince.

In 2003, Brian was nominated for an MTV 2003 VMA for Best Choreography for Mya’s My Love Is Like…Wo video. Read more & comment »

Judges Announced For ITV Grease Is The Word

Grease Is The WordITV have today announced the lineup of their judging panel for their newest reality show ‘Grease Is The Word’.

Putting his reputation on the line judging the potential hopefuls, as well as producing the eventual winners in the new West End show, is renowned theatre producer David Ian. Joining David on the judging panel is; I’m A Celebrity favourite, multimillionaire American showbiz impresario and producer David Gest, American choreographer Brian Friedman and The X Factor mentor, 80’s pop icon and West End star in her own right Sinitta (Mutiny, Hair, What A Feelin’).

David Ian said of taking part in the series, “I’m absolutely thrilled and delighted to be working with ITV on this project looking for a brand new Danny and Sandy for the West End production of Grease.
