When Zayn Malik quit One Direction last month, many music biz insiders predicted that it was the beginning of the end for the former X Factor band, and, as had already been rumoured, they would split at the end of this year when their recording contract expires.
As we reported last night, X Factor producer Richard Holloway has hinted that this year’s new series will – yet again, it’s an annual event by now – see major changes to the format and possibly to the judging panel.
Kian Egan has admitted that despite only splitting less than two years ago, he is already thinking about the day he reunites with his Westlife pals. The I’m A Celebrity star is currently beavering away on his solo career, having recently launched his first solo album, while concentrating on landing more TV presenting roles, however one day he imagines he’ll be back in the Westlife fold, sitting on his stool, waiting for the key change.
It’s been reported today that former Westlife star Brian McFadden is at a bit of a loose end right now, and despite the fact that he’s set to host shows Stand By Your Man on Channel 5 and Ulster Television reality show Who’s Doing The Dishes – which sounds riveting – later this year, he’s apparently been eyeing up Dermot O’Leary’s job on X Factor! He made the revelation when asked if it he would consider becoming a judge on one of Simon Cowell’s shows again – he was formerly
Back in 2012, X Factor judge Louis Walsh successfully sued a UK tabloid newspaper over publishing false sex assault allegations about the Irish music mogul, and at the time, Louis revealed that the accusation and the process of clearing his name had had “a terrible effect” on him. And this weekend, Louis’ friend, Westlife singer Brian McFadden, has stated that Louis’ ordeal “took a bit of his soul.”
New One Direction bromance? Niall Horan ran up ‘hefty’ bar bill downing tequila shots with Westlife’s Brian McFadden!
We reported recently that One Direction star Niall Horan had been with Westlife singer Brian McFadden at the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the O2 Arena, and it seems that afterwards, the party continued with a vengeance… Apparently, Brian challenged Niall to a tequila-shot drinking contest, and as anyone who’s ever bought a drink in London will know, you need to take out a second mortgage to buy a round, not that money is any kind of an object to multi-millionaire Niall!
Kerry Katona has revealed that Christmas time has traditionally been tough for her, but she’s looking forward to this year’s festive season more than usual. The mum of four split from her first husband, Westlife star Brian McFadden in December many moons ago but now she’s happily engaged to new man George Kay and the pair are expecting their first child together. Kerry told OK magazine:
EXCLUSIVE: X Factor’s Luke Friend teases change of image & says of Brian McFadden’s jibe, “I’m not really bothered!”
Yesterday, we caught up with X Factor star Luke Friend while he was busy rehearsing at the show’s studios in Wembley ahead of tonight’s live show… And during our chat, Luke teased a “change of image” that may or may not be to do with his infamously unwashed hair! He also responded to a recent report that claimed former Westlife star Brian McFadden reckoned judge and mentor Louis Walsh had made a mistake in choosing Luke to go through to the live shows…
Brian McFadden made his big comeback on british TV tonight on brand new entertainment show Stepping Out. The new series launched on ITV1 this evening and will see Brian and his wife Vogue Williams competing against Denise Welch and husband Lincoln Townley, Oritsé Williams and girlfriend A.J Azari, Laurence Llewelyn Bowen and wife Jackie Llewelyn Bowen, Carl Froch and girlfriend Rachael Cordingley and Glynis Barber with her husband Michael Brandon…on the dancefloor.
Stepping Out: Brian McFadden & Vogue Williams’ swearing gave producers “a headache” but the show’s doing wonders for Carl Froch’s love life!
As we reported earlier this year, ITV are to debut a celebrity dance extravaganza entitled Stepping Out, which is intended to rival long-running BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing. Stepping Out, which debuts next Saturday – and is hosted by Davina McCall – features celebrity couples learning to dance together, as well as showing them at home going about their day to day lives, and among the couples featured are former Westlife star Brian McFadden and his wife, Vogue Williams…
