Outspoken Singer Charlotte Church has blasted some of this year’s Brit Award nominees.
Ms Church is nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist and when asked about the British music scene she said:.
“I find it depressing. It’s a bit on the melodramatic side. Craig David’s gone a bit middle of the road. It’s a bit Elton John. Arctic Monkeys? Wouldn’t know if I fell over them. Dizzee Rascal is a bit much for me. He sounds like 12-year-old boy on the brink of puberty.”
She branded X Factor winner Shayne Ward as cack, (he is nominated for Best Single) for the track ‘That’s My Goal’.
Church said of his nomination: “You’d think they could come up with a half-decent song – they give him cack to sing.”
Even if she doesn’t win, Church is determined to enjoy herself at the ceremony she said : “It’s close to my birthday so I’ll have a double celebration – even if I don’t win. I’ll be drunk anyway.”
Nice Charlotte Nice!
