Faryl Smith has said that she never would have landed her current record deal without the help of Simon Cowell.
Faryl rose to fame on last years Britain’s Got Talent and wowed viewers with her rendition of ‘Ave Maria’. She has since landed a huge record deal and hopes to follow in the footsteps of Katherine Jenkins, the award-winning Welsh mezzo-soprano.
“My family is really, really friendly with Simon,” she told The Sun.
“He has done so much for me, he basically discovered me. I always want to say thank you and made sure I did on my album.
The ever so wise teenager, George Sampson, has blamed Simon Cowell for the fact that his debut single failed to make top twenty in the UK singles chart.
Discussing how Cowell planned it all wrong, Sampson told the Daily Star: “It was purely based on the timing, which was wrong. We should have done the DVD first to get the visual and let everyone see the new routine on the Royal Variety Show, then brought out the single.”
Music mogul (?) George also suggested that Simon was to blame for X Factor winner Leon Jackson’s awfully performing album.
Britain’s Got Talent winner, George Sampson has revealed that he would love to work with X Factor star Diana Vickers once the show ends.
"JLS are really nice guys and the girls have fantastic voices," he told the Radio Times. "I’d love to do a number with Diana where she sings and I dance. That’d be wicked."
So George Sampson’s music career looks like it might be over before it even started….not really a surprise given that the boy is a dancer, not a singer!
George released a double a side single this week which Simon Cowell and Co expected to chart somewhere within the top ten in the UK charts. Unfortunately mid week chart sales figures suggest that George will be lucky to finish in the mid twenties.
Britain’s got Talent winner, George Samspson is a dancer right? Well kind of…..it seems like he is also a singer or rapper or something and has this week released his first ever single titled ‘Get Up On The Dancefloor’.
Since dancing his way to the top of Britain’s Got Talent in May 2008, George Sampson, the 15 year old from Warrington, has been propelled to popularity of Disney-heartthrob proportions with his cheeky little grin and cute butter-wouldn’t-melt face.
Since his momentous win he has toured the UK with his fellow finalists performing in front of screaming sell-out crowds, starred in the West End production of Into The Hoods and become the face of NatWest’s youth account.
He will release his first ever music DVD, Access All Areas , this December featuring four new and exclusive videos which see George showcasing his vocal talents as well as his fancy footwork in a series of spectacular videos.
Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Kate Nicholson has admitted that she and her dog Gin have been shunned by other dog trainers after their success on the show.
“We’re not really welcome in the doggy dancing world any more,” Kate told the Daily Mail. “The people who have been doing it for years don’t like what has happened to us. I think there is an element of jealousy there. You see, some of them auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent, too. Read more & comment »
Britain’s Got Talent contestant, Andrew Johnston has said that he would love to be as famous as his idol Andrea Bocelli, but he has to wait for his voice to break first.
Andrew told The Sun: “I’d like to be as big as Andrea Bocelli but I’ll have to see what my voice is like when it breaks – I’m looking forward to hearing what it sounds like.
But he admitted: “I won’t be able to hit high notes like I’ve been able to now.”
