If I’m honest, I’d have to agree. Simon makes the show. The other two are definitely expendable.
Kay has always been a keen singer. She started training her operatic voice quite late on in her life, which is because she started a family life quite early in life and didn’t have the time to follow her dream. She joined the ‘Catholic Players’ singing group in the 90’s and is currently still a member. Paul Potts was also a member of the group and they’ve sung together in the past, he’s on of her inspirations. Through the singing group Kay has sang at many different venues and charity concerts. The six year old made famous in this years series of Britain’s Got Talent has been offered a six figure record deal.
Connie Talbot was first offered a record deal by Simon Cowell when the show finished. But the offer was retracted a few weeks later as the record company rightly decided that Connie was just too young.
However Rainbow Records have now signed Connie and her first album will be released on the 26th of November.
We have just heard that the auditions for next years Britian’s Got Talent TV show are to kick off this November.
The word is that Simon is heading to Manchester from November 20-24 and says: “As you saw last year there are no rules, you can be any age, with any talent.
“And it’s not just singers, magicians and jugglers, we’re looking for animal acts, dancers, mime artists, acrobats, no matter what your talent is, come down to the auditions.”
One of the big reasons that many people enter ITV’s Britian’s Got Talent show is because of the promise of a prominent slot in the fully televised Royal Variety Show. However the future of BGT winners appearing in the show has been thrown into doubt after a BBC insider suggested that they would not welcome the winner of an ITV show on theior channel.
In 2008 the Royal Variety Show will switch from ITV to BBC One and it is reported that BBC bosses are considering banning Britain’s Got Talent performers.
An insider commented: “I would be very surprised if we let the winner of one of ITV’s most popular shows take pride of place on BBC1.”
An ITV source said: “There’s a meeting in the diary to talk about this with the BBC. It would be silly of them to turn this down as we’ll effectively be promoting their show.”
The six year old who captured the heart of millions during this years Britian’s Got Talent TV show, has been left heartbroken thanks to one Mr Simon Cowell.
Connie Talbot moved people to tears with her rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow (watch her performance at the end of this article) and had been promised a record deal by Cowell on air, however after recording just two songs for Sony BMG her parents have been told that she is too young for the label and they have put all future plans on hold.
“They said she was too young to be their sort of artist,” said Mrs Talbot. “We have been told to look for a company which looks after children.”
Former Mirror editor, piers Morgan has told Heat magazine that he won’t be fired from Britain’s Got Talent as he looks too youthful.

Britain’s Got Talent winner, Paul Potts was more than slightly embarrassed on his recent trip to New York, due to his lack of cash.
Paul had won £100,000 on the TV show, but the cheque had not yet cleared and his bank refused him an overdraft.
“It was a little bit embarrassing - when I was in New York I didn’t have any money. The bank wouldn’t give us even a £500 overdraft for three days - they refused twice,” Paul told the News of the World. “Yet they knew who we were and they knew what had happened but they just wouldn’t give me a temporary overdraft. When I first came across this piece of trivia I was astounded and impressed. Paul frequented our forum when Britian’s Got Talent was in the audition stages and has continued to contribute since winning the show. Many people have recently criticised Paul for his lack of talent or abundance of training, some have even accused Simon Cowell of fixing the show.
