X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent vocal coach Yvie Burnett has been chatting about coaching Susan Boyle and revealed that the Scottish singer had input into her new album and that she has a true passion for singing.

“She came to stay with me, we had breakfast, had a little schedule and then we break for our lunch,” Burnett told the BBC. “It was all very easy-going and we had a lovely time learning them that way.”

Speaking choosing songs for the ‘ I Dreamed a Dream‘ album, Yvie said: “She had an input into them. People made suggestions and she made suggestions… It was just a general input.”

Burnett added: “[Susan] lives to sing. Being interviewed and talking, she’ll do that, but it’s not what she’s doing it for. When she sings, she becomes a confident person. Singing is her absolute passion.

“There was always that amazing voice and what we’ve worked on together is get control of that voice to get subtlety and do lovely soft beautiful sounds that maybe before she wouldn’t have been able to do. We’ve just polished an amazing talent.”

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle is on course to have the fastest-selling album of the year in the UK.

HMV have revealed that Susan’s debut album I Dreamed a Dream has sold almost 150,000 copies on its first day of release.

“The Susan Boyle story just keeps getting bigger and more fantastic,” spokesperson Gennaro Castaldo said.

”Our hmv.com online store had one of its largest ever pre-orders for an album and now we’re seeing a huge surge in demand in our stores, though especially in Susan’s native Scotland.

”People of all ages seem to be buying it, and it’s clearly going to be one of the must-have gift items this Christmas.

”Susan’s accomplished performance on The X Factor has given the album a massive, timely boost, and it now has the momentum to challenge the likes of Leona, JLS and The Soldiers for the Christmas number one.”

Online retailer Amazon have previously revealed that I Dreamed a Dream has broken all previous records and achieved the largest global CD pre-orders in the history of the site.

American TV Guide Network has revealed that it will air a TV special on Susan Boyle next month.

“I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story,” a one hour documentary, will feature interviews with and performances by Susan herself as well as chats with friends and Simon Cowell.

The documentary will show Susan’s rise to fame after wowing the world with her audition for ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent. It will follow her as she cracks America and appears on TV shows all over the world.

Susan Boyle gave X Factor bosses a fright last weekend, when she turned up to do her performance sporting a new bright red hair colour.

The Britain’s Got Talent star reportedly tried to dye her grey hair at home, but messed up and ended up with vibrant red locks. ITV bosses called in top hair stylists to recolour her hair before she went on TV.

A source told The Sun: “It was chaos. “She was due on stage at 4pm on Saturday but at 1pm she arrived with bright red hair and a great big grin.

“The grey bits had completely soaked up the colour and were especially vibrant. There was no way she could have gone on stage like that.

“At one point they considered giving her a wig.”

Despite her recent newfound wealth, Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle has insisted that she won’t be moving to a posh new house.

Susan currently lives in a small council house in Blackburn, Scotland and when she gets her first royalty cheque next week, she won’t be splashing out on a new pad, instead she’ll buy the £80,000 house from her local council.

Boyle told the News of the World: “I don’t want to be moving an inch away from my family, and Pebbles doesn’t want to move.

“She’s lived there all her life and cats hate upping sticks.

“I’m the wee wifey with the mop and the cat next door. It’s what keeps me grounded – remembering I am just that wifey. And Pebbles would hate to live anywhere posh.”

“That is an incredible achievement and is testament to the fact that she has captured the hearts of people all over Britain, America and the rest of the world.”

Columbia Records Chairman Steve Barnett added: “One of the things that is so unique about Susan Boyle is her ability to touch people around the world. We’re excited that I Dreamed A Dream holds the new record for global pre-orders and that Amazon’s customers have supported her album in this way.”

Britain’s Got Talent runner up Susan Boyle, has admitted that she auditioned for the show as part of a promise she made to her late mother.

The 48 year old told The Sun:

“I had promised my mum I would do something with my life just before she died – that I’d do something with my singing. So I applied for Britain’s Got Talent.”

Susan added: “We’d seen a soloist singing on the TV just before she passed and I said, ‘Is that what you want me to do, Mum?’

“She said, ‘Yes.’ She had a good belief that I could do it. So I decided to do something about it.

“I couldn’t straight away because the bereavement hit me hard.

In an interview with The Mirror Susan admitted”You’re looking at someone who would get the belt every day… ‘Will you shut up, Susan!’ – whack!”

She continued: “I was often left behind at school because of one thing or another. I was a slow learner. I’m just a wee bit slower at picking things up than other people. So you get left behind in a system that just wants to rush on, you know? That was what I felt was happening to me.”

She added: “There was discipline for the sake of discipline back then. But it’s all very different now. I think teachers are taught to understand children with learning disabilities a lot better.”

“There’s nothing worse than another person having power over you by bullying you and you not knowing how to get rid of that thing.”

The singer, who has become famous all over the world, has been followed by a middle aged American woman and the last straw came when she showed up at Susan’s Scottish home this week. The woman was intercepted by a security guard, but after the recent assault on Leona Lewis, Simon Cowell has ordered extra security coverage for Subo.

A source told The Sun: “Simon is not taking any chances.

“This woman is constantly following Susan around the world. It is a middle-aged American woman who has become obsessed with her.

“At first, people thought it was no more than a nuisance. But after what happened to Leona everyone is taking extra precautions.

“This is an important month for Susan and everyone wants it to go smoothly.”

Sharon Osbourne has mocked Britain’s Got Talent singer Susan Boyle and said that she looks like a “slapped a**e”.

In an interview with Sirius XM Radio, Osbourne commented: “I like everybody to do well. Even somebody that looks like a slapped a**e. God bless her. It’s like, ‘You go girl’. She does look like a hairy a**ehole.”

She continued: “[God] gave her the talent. Yes he did. [And] he hit her with a f**king ugly stick.”
