Harry Styles has admitted that he loves cougars and not the big cat kind.

As we head into the most loved up time of the year and ladies all around the world prepare to celebrate Valentines Day (while men try to ignore that it is even happening) the young One Direction singer has been talking about what he is looking for in a girlfriend.

The curly haired cutie confessed that even after splitting from Caroline Flack – who was 15 years his senior – he still finds himself attracted to the older ladies.

Harry told We Love Pop:

“I love cougars though. Age is nothing but a number.”

It was reported that Harry took Caroline home to meet his mum, just a week before they split and while many people insisted it was One Direction’s management behind their breakup, some fans did wonder if in the end it was his 43 year old mother that put an end to the relationship.

But Harry has insisted that he wouldn’t let his mum rule his life in that way and when asked what he would do if his mum hated one of his girlfriends, he added:

“It wouldn’t affect it too much, because if you like someone you like someone.”

So what would come between him and the woman of his dreams? Pet names is one thing that he can’t abide for sure.

“If she called me something like ‘snugglebug’ it would make me cringe.”

Harry may be too busy for love for the foreseeable future though, as it has been reported that along with his music career, the upcoming One Direction American tour and their appearance at this month’s Brit Awards, the boyband may also be close to landing their very own TV show.

Insiders reported that Nickelodeon bosses were so impressed with the boys on iCarly recently, that they are considering making them the focal point of a brand new series.

The Xtra Factor presenter, 32 was reportedly forced to separate from the 18 year old One Direction singer last month, when his management team decided that their relationship and age gap could cause problems for the band’s image, especially when they traveled to America for their upcoming tour.

It had been reported that both stars were gutted when they were told that they would need to split, but chose their careers over their love lives when their mutual boss Simon Cowell became involved.

However, yesterday Caroline was spotted cuddling a mystery man, outside a pub in Camden, while they both enjoyed a sneaky smoke.

A source close to the beauty claimed that the man was her friends’ boyfriend, but if we were her pal, we’d be a little worried by the snap.

Harry Styles is reportedly planning a reunion with Caroline Flack, as soon as his schedule clears a little.

The handsome One Direction star announced his split from the Xtra Factor host last month, despite never having officially confirmed that they were dating previously.

However, it has been reported since that the breakup was forced upon the pair by One Direction management, who believed that the 15 year age gap would cause problems for the band’s image when they tried to crack America.

The X Factor band traveled to The States last week to record a guest appearance on Nickelodeon’s iCarly and will return this month, to embark on their first ever US tour.

But it has been claimed that Styles is not enjoying his time apart from his older woman and that already, the pair are arranging a place where they can meet in secret and rekindle their romance.

Now reports that they will next hook up at the home of Caroline’s twin sister Jody!

‘They’re still in contact,’ one of his friends claimed. ‘Harry wants to see her once he completes all his tour commitments.

‘His management don’t know about it. He and Caroline are really smitten – it’s far from being over for good.’

Flack won’t have been happy then to have read the recent stories, in which it was claimed that Harry tried to get over Caroline, by spending the night with Pixie Geldof.

But then we don’t know how much truth is in that story either…..

Harry Styles doesn’t seem too heartbroken, after his recent split from Caroline Flack.

The One Direction star looked energetic and in great form when he performed with his bandmates on Dancing On Ice last night and it has been revealed that perhaps the reason behind his chipper mood, was a fun night out in the company of Pixie Geldof.

It has been reported that Harry belatedly celebrated his 18th birthday when he returned to London at the weekend and hit the town with some of his new pals, Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and Bob Geldof’s famous daughter.

“Harry has become big mates with Nick and was invited out with some of his Primrose Hill pals,” a source told The Sun. “He’d only been back from America for a couple of days but still fancied a night out.

“He wanted to carry on his birthday celebration and he knew that with this lot he’d have an interesting time.”

However, though he was invited out by Nick, it has been claimed that Harry spent most of the night with Pixie, who is currently single. She obviously doesn’t bear a grudge against the handsome singer, after he admitted that her older sister Peaches tried to chat him up last year, so he gave her a fake phone number!

After recent claims that US record label bosses wanted Harry to become the One Direction frontman, we weren’t surprised last night to see that he definitely got the biggest reaction from the audience when the band performed on Dancing On Ice.

The management team behind One Direction are said to have demanded that Harry Styles split from his girlfriend Carlone Flack, because they were concerned about the effect it would have on his career in America.

Harry and the rest of the band traveled to The States last week, for some promotional performances and a guest appearance on Nickelodeon’s iCarly. They were mobbed by hoards of screaming fans everywhere they went, but bosses were said to be concerned that if news leaked out that Harry (now 18) was dating a 32 year old, it would harm the band’s chances of stateside success.

They also worried that the relationship and 15 year age gap would should industry bigwigs and a source told Metro:

‘He looks young. It does not sit well.’

It was recently claimed that the decision to split the pair up went as high as Simon Cowell and that Harry had little choice in the end, when it came to his love life.

However the singer sounded upbeat when he took to Twitter last night and referring to his 18th birthday – which he celebrated earlier this week – the curly haired cutie told his followers:

‘I feel like I’ve woken up with suddenly more facial hair and a deeper voice!’

Kerry Katona has once again spoken out about something that is patently none of her business and has declared that she didn’t approve of the relationship between Harry Styles and Caroline Flack.

The One Direction star (who turned 18 today) and the Xtra Factor presenter, 32, had been dating for a number of months, but announced their split last week and Kerry thinks the breakup didn’t come a moment too soon.

The reality TV star was among the many who disapproved of the 15 year age gap between the pair and told Now:

“That relationship was never going to work.

“I’ve met Caroline and she is a lovely girl – I’ve never met Harry but he’s only 17 and still just a boy and it just wasn’t right.”

The mum of four – who has been married twice and publicly conducted a number of failed relationships – added that she thinks Caroline needs someone a bit older and more mature and someone ready to settle down and she doesn’t think that man is Harry.

She added:

“He’s young, he’s in a boy band and he’s got the world at his feet.

“He doesn’t want to be settling down, especially as he’s not even old enough to drink yet!”

One Direction flew to America this week, where they were greeted by thousands of screaming female fans everywhere they travelled. They went to record a cameo appearance on hit Nickelodeon TV show iCarly and to meet with American record label bosses.

It has been claimed that Harry and Caroline will meet upon the band’s return and spend some time in a remote cottage in Cornwall, working on getting back together and belatedly celebrating Styles’ landmark birthday.

Insiders have claimed that the management team behind Harry’s band One Direction practically forced them to break up, because they believed the relationship was bad for his image, especially as he and the boyband were about to embark on their first ever American tour.

It was said by some sources that the pair were ‘drifting apart,’ however a friend of the couple has told Now magazine that nothing could be further from the truth.

They claim that Harry’s management and even record label boss Simon Cowell engineered the whole thing and explained;

‘They were introduced via his people, but they weren’t happy when the romance took off. I’m told it went as far as Simon Cowell.’

It has also been reported today that the pair are already planning their reconciliation and insiders say that as Caroline will be missing Harry’s 18th birthday tomorrow, she is booking a quiet and romantic break for them in Cornwall for his return.

Caroline Flack and Harry Styles announced their split last week, but it seems that their separation may not be permanent.

The One Direction singer took to Twitter to reveal that he and the 32 year old beauty had broke up by mutual consent and now the young hunk is in America, trying to crack The States with his boyband.

However, insiders have claimed that the split may not last and that Caroline and Harry are already planning a trip, when Styles return to the UK.

The pair are reportedly hoping to spend some time in a remote area of Cornwall and think that they may be able to reconnect during their getaway.

“They’re planning to spend the weekend in a cottage in Cornwall when Harry gets back from the States,” a source told The Sun.

“They’re hoping to spend some quality time together to make sure they haven’t made the wrong decision,” the added.

“They both think breaking up was for the best but they’re missing each other a lot and she’s been in regular contact while Harry has been in the US with the band.”
