Carrie Underwood has been booked to make a performance on Blue Bloods.
The former American Idol singer will join legendary crooner Tony Bennett on the American police drama series on CBS, where they will sing together for a duet of ‘It Had To Be You’at a police fundraising event. The scenes will air on the upcoming season première this September.
Lauren Alaina has admitted that Carrie Underwood has been extremely supportive of her, during her time on American Idol.
The 16 year old singer came second in this week’s season finale of the Fox reality TV series and on the final show, got to perform with season four winner Underwood.

Simon Fuller received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame yesterday and lots of past and current American Idol stars showed up to help honour the show boss.
Judges Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson attended the glitzy event, as did show presenter Ryan Seacrest, past winners Carrie Underwood and David Cook, and this year’s season 10 finalists. Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are said to be planning a second honeymoon.
The American Idol winner tied the knot with the professional ice hockey player in July 2010 and is reportedly hoping that a quiet romantic trip to Hawaii will help her fall pregnant with her first child.
According to the National Enquirer magazine, she told pals: “I’m planning a romantic second honeymoon in Hawaii very soon. Mike and I hope to make a baby under those tropical stars.” Read more & comment »
Carrie Underwood isn’t ready to have children yet.
The American idol star has revealed she and her ice hockey player husband Mike Fisher – who married in July – are in no rush to start a family and she is unsure of her “motherly instincts”.
She told America’s InStyle magazine: “Oh, it’s going to be a while. The other night, Mike was with some friends and their kids, and he sent me a funny text saying, ‘Watching my friend’s kids … let’s wait a while.’
“I didn’t grow up around kids, and I hope those motherly instincts are in me. I’m sure they are, but I don’t know what to talk about with a four year old.”
