Wow. Britain’s Got Talent has barely ended and yet America’s Got Talent has already begun stateside. I have to confess to having the ‘got talent’ bug at the moment, so I checked out a couple of videos on YouTube.

The one below is an audition from a guy called Cas Haley. Cas is a stay-at-home dad from Chicago. After the obligatory heartfelt VT intro (blah blah…wife and kid….blah blah blah), he strides onto the stage and launches into an acoustic version of Walking On The Moon. Crowd goes wild. Hasselhoff grooves along (looking every bit of his 80 years).

The funny thing about watching these shows is the huge amount of cross-over between Simon Cowell’s shows in the US and the UK. America’s Got Talent has Piers Morgan (fresh from Britain’s Got Talent) and Sharon Osbourne (from our very own X Factor).

If rumours are to believed, Randy Jackson was being considered as a judge on X Factor this year, but Brian Friedman (from Grease Is The Word) may have the gig. It’s all very confusing and incestuous. I need to go and lie down…..
