Cat Deeley has admitted that she is still on the search for her perfect man.

The So You Think You Can Dance presenter had been dating Twilight actor Jack Huston for two years, but the pair announced their split last summer and since then, the 5′ 9″ beauty has been on the hunt for her very own ‘Prince Charming.’

She told The Sun:

“I’m dating lots of different guys, but let’s just say I haven’t found my Prince Charming yet – and I’ve kissed a few frogs too.”

Cat Deeley has said there is no reason that ‘charming’ Cheryl Cole couldn’t crack America.

The British beauty, who has carved out a successful presenting career for herself in the states and currently presents Nigel Lythgoe’s So You Think You Can Dance in both America and the UK, said the public will ‘love’ the X Factor judge, when she launches her career across the Atlantic.

Cat, 37, told The Sun: “Cheryl is just completely charming.

“The whole public love her and she’s the nation’s sweetheart – I don’t see why she wouldn’t be that in America too.

“People talk about the accent all the time – maybe they would understand her, maybe they wouldn’t.

“It’s difficult to tell but I don’t see it as a stumbling block. She could do something about that anyway if she needed to.”

But Cat thinks it will be hard for Cheryl if she does land a job on Simon Cowell’s new American X Factor, as the pressure on the stars involved to make the show a success will be huge. She added:

“It’s going to be an awful lot of pressure.

“It’s going to be one of the most expensive TV shows ever made and it’s going to have big expectations behind it.”

Cat Deeley has claimed that despite constantly being around dancers when she presents So You Think You Can Dance, she is not a good mover at all.

The British star, who spends a lot of time working and presenting in America, appeared on This Morning yesterday and when asked of she would ever accept an offer to compete on Strictly Come Dancing or the US version Dancing with the Stars, she laughed:

“I’m not in control of my limbs at all. If I danced on TV I think people would bleed from their eyes, they’d just be so offended.

“I am absolutely awful but I’m normally one of the first on a dancefloor [at a party or wedding] but that depends on how many cocktails I’ve had!”

On how she would respond if she was approached about the show, she added:

“I’d slam the door in their faces – I wouldn’t inflict myself on the nation!”

On her transatlantic career Deeley continued:

“I spend a lot of time in America but I’ve still got my place here, and here is where I call home. My friends and my family are here. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d be on season eight out there!”

Cat Deeley plans to work with Ant and Dec again.

The 34-year-old host – who appeared with the presenting duo for three years until 2001 on Saturday morning children’s TV show ‘SM:TV Live’ – is still friends with the pair and admitted they have regularly discussed finding a new project to appear in together.

She said: “We talk about working together. I’d definitely love it to happen. We haven’t decided exactly what we’d like to do but we’ve all agreed that we will at some point in the future.

“We had such an amazing time before.”

Cat – who has fronted US show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ‘American Idol’ – admits she, Ant and Dec were lucky to be allowed to host the show for as long as they did because they were learning as they went.

She said in an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We literally grew up together. We were so bad at presenting to begin with. But we were lucky, we had a great commissioner who let us run with it and just said, ‘I think these kids have got something.’
“Then it all came together and we developed timing and chemistry. It became that thing you can’t manufacture.”

Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to offer presenting roles on his new American X Factor series, to British TV stars Dermot O’Leary and Cat Deeley.

Cat has already become a well known face on American TV, as the host of popular reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance. Simon is now thought to be planning to offer current X factor host Dermot O’Leary the presenters role on the main American show, while Cat will front spinoff show The Xtra Factor.

A TV insider told The Mirror: “Apart from a seat on the panel, these are two of the most fought-over jobs on TV at the moment.

“So for two Brits to be on the verge of landing them is a massive talking point their stars are about to go stratospheric.

“Dermot and Cat must be laughing about how all those years of being gunked on kids TV have finally paid off.”

So You Think You Can Dance presenter Cat Deeley has admitted that she won’t rule out plastic surgery in the future.

In an interview with OK, Cat admitted: “I don’t know. So far I’ve been lucky. I’ve got quite nice skin and I’m ageing well − touch wood! Ask me in 30 years, and I may say something totally different.

“What if in 30 years everyone’s doing it and I look like some old bag? And what if my nice smile has fallen, and I’m slightly balding with varicose veins?!”

On what insecurities she has about her body, Cat added:

“I’ve got as many as the next person, but I never tell anyone what they are. Most of it is in your head, so if you don’t tell people, they don’t notice.

“I like that I smile a lot and that I’ve got nice teeth − they’re all my own, too! I’ve never had whitening, or anything like that.”

So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley, has claimed that she has forged a successful career for herself in America because she is more ‘real’ than their own TV presenters.

“When I watch shows in America, I feel that some of the hosts are a little ‘Stepford’ – in the nicest possible way,” she told the Radio Times. “It feels as if they’re more worried if the light is in the right place and they’re standing right than they are about communicating with an audience.”

She added: “The fundamental part of my job is to communicate with an audience in a very real way. I think I’m maybe a bit ‘realer’ than typical American hosts.”

So You Think You Can Dance launches this Saturday at 6pm on BBC One.

Cat Deeley is coming to BBC One to host So You Think You Can Dance this January. Now presenting her fifth season of the hugely successful series in the US, she returns with Nigel Lythgoe to present the award-winning format for the first time in Britain.

Originally known as the host of SMTV: live, double-BAFTA award-winning Cat has since carved out an enviable transatlantic career including being Jay Leno’s first regular entertainment correspondent on the Tonight Show and subsequently performing the same role for Good Morning America.

Along with Nigel and Arlene Phillips, a rotating third panellist will complete the lineup each week to find Britain’s Favourite Dancer while Cat keeps the proceedings moving along. She will be getting to work immediately, with national auditions kicking off in London this week. At each venue she’ll be on hand to meet the talent vying to impress the judges for a place first in the top 100 and then the live, Saturday night shows.

Cat says: “So You Think You Can Dance has been a phenomenon in the US and I have been incredibly proud to be a part of it. I cannot wait to bring this show to the UK as I know the audiences will be as wild about it as they are in the States. Part of the appeal has always been discovering new talent and giving gifted dancers a platform to show off their extraordinary skills – being on that journey with them makes this the best job in the world. Cat Deeley is rumoured to be taking over presenting duties for ITV’s Hell’s Kitchen after Angus Deayton was sacked.

Angus was laid off last month after a series of arguments with the show’s chef Marco Pierre White. Show bosses are now said to have offered the role to cheesy ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ presenter Cat Deeley.

I’m not sure how I like their choice of talent. I have always found Cat Deeley a little creepy as a presenter. I hated watching American Idol when she presented their special UK only slot and she completely weirded me out on that silly kids version of Stars In Their Eyes in 2006. Surely ITV could have saved themselves a few pounds and someone funny for the job. Michael McIntyre would have been the perfect choice!

It has been announced this week that both stars have been asked to front a fourth series of their show, Gordon will be doing Hell’s Kitchen USA, and Cat will be fronting yet another series of So You Think You Can Dance.

Both stars third series are currently airing on US networks. Hell’s Kitchen drew a whopping 8 million viewers last week and Cat’s dance show si the number one show in it’s time slot.
