Celebair contestant Lisa Mafia has complained that show bosses have edited the footage unfairly, making her look cold and bitchy.

She particularly takes exception to footage of her giving “dirty looks” to her fellow contestants.

She complained: “I know that they will edit it to look dramatic. But I didn’t think they would make me out to be a bitch when I’m not.”

It seems like Chico Slimani isn’t going down to well with the rest of the Celebair team.

Apparently his chants of “It’s Chico time!”, “It’s meal time!” and “It’s disembarking time!”, are starting to grate heavily on the nerves of his fellow airline staff.

One insider told the Daily Star: “It won’t be very long until it’s Chico Time To Go Time. Everyone’s beginning to find him very annoying.”

I have always liked Chico and his upbeat attitude to life. Could it be that the group of so called ’stars’ are taking themselves just a tad too seriously? It is a TV show after all!

Tempers have been frayed on ITV2’s new reality TV show, Celebair, most noticeably between X Factor reject Chico and What Not To Wear Presenter, Mica Paris.

A source told The Sun: “The contestants were put through six weeks of intensive training by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) before they boarded their first flight.

“Each contestant had to pass before they could enter the show – which they all did and they all worked incredibly hard so they could take part.

“However, because it has been so intense, tempers have flared between Mica and Chico. They came into an argument while serving on the flight and Mica accused Chico of taking the show too seriously.

“They’re both very strong personalities and very competetive ones at that and there’s certainly tension between them.”

Contestants from ITV2 reality TV show, Celebair, threatened to walk out this week after show bosses made them resit a test.

The celebs had all previously passed the Civil Aviation Authority exam when bosses found out that they had taken a long boozy lunch immediately before the test. For safety reasons they then insisted that the exam was retaken by all.

Some of the stars were not too happy at the thought of a re-take and threatened to leave the show.

“They were up in arms because they’d all passed and couldn’t see why they had to bother to do the exam again,” an insider told the Daily Star. “But safety is paramount for the producers and they felt they couldn’t take a chance. They wanted to be sure they knew their stuff.

“They were on the verge of walking out until they were promised a day at a spa if they agreed to resit it.”

In this new eight-part series, 11 celebrities will take on a range of jobs on the ground and in the air to battle it out ultimately to become CelebAir’s star employee and win thousands of pounds for the charity of their choice.

The show will be presenter by former children’s TV presenter, Angelica Bell and the team will consist of singer and presenter, Mica Paris; singer and Steps band member, Lisa Scott-Lee; star of The X-Factor, singer Chico; writer and presenter, Tamara Beckwith; presenter and comedienne Amy Lamé; star of Australian Idol and Neighbours, Dan O’Connor; singer and former member of Blazin’ Squad, Kenzie; ex-Hear’Say member and husband of Lisa Scott-Lee, Johnny Shentall; musician and one-time member of So Solid Crew, Lisa Maffia; model Michelle Marsh and comedian and actor, Phil Cornwell.

This autumn, ITV2 will be taking to the skies with the brand new show, CelebAir; with a real plane, flying to real places, staffed by real celebrities!

In this new eight-part series, 10 celebrities will take on a range of jobs on the ground and in the air to battle it out ultimately to become CelebAir’s star employee and win thousands of pounds for the charity of their choice.

Overseeing the action and presenting the show will be Angellica Bell, who is familiar to a whole generation of people from her time as presenter at CBBC and who is no stranger to flying, having previously worked on the travel series Departure Lounge.

Angellica says about hosting the show: “I am very excited to be a part of CelebAir. It will be great fun to watch as the celebrities are put under pressure and taken out of their comfort zone. Let’s see how they handle it!”

Functioning as a regular airline, members of the public can book to fly with CelebAir to a host of glamorous locations as the celebrity crew take on roles from check-in clerks to air stewards and they could be anyone from a famous sportsman to a pop star.

Cruising at 35,000-feet, viewers will see all the tensions and frustrations as the celebrity crew dish out the pretzels and pour out the bubbly.

CelebAir will push our celebrities to their limits; one day they will be dealing with a hell-raising hen party coming back from a night in Malaga, the next they will have to cope with a delayed flight full of families heading out to Alicante.

At every stage of the journey the famous faces will be judged and rated by their own passengers and each week the worst performing celebrity gets given the boot.

However, before any of the famous faces are allowed to start their new jobs, they will have to undertake a rigorous six-week training programme run by Monarch, the airline involved in the show, and they will be required to adhere to Monarch’s tough standards whilst working for CelebAir.

CelebAir was commissioned by Commissioning Editor, Digital Channels, Claire Zolkwer, and ordered by Controller of ITV2, Zai Bennett.

CelebAir is a co-production between Endemol UK production arms Zeppotron and Initial – the first time the two companies have worked together.

ITV2 are getting ready to launch a new celebrity reality TV show called ‘CelebAir’. Think of it as ‘Airline’ with celebrities and you would be about right.

The budget airline Monarch are thought to be leasing one of their planes to ITV, and the celebrities who take part will have to perform all the duties of regular airline staff, including check-in, cabin crew and sales, though thankfully they will not be piloting the plane.

“This isn’t frivolous or celebrity TV for the sake of it – there’s a genuine outcome at stake – such as people’s business trips and holidays,” one ITV source said.

“CelebAir takes reality shows literally to new heights, where famous faces will take over a commercial jet and fly paying passengers to a host of destinations.

“Although it is entertainment, safety is paramount and the names taking part won’t be allowed to be involved unless they are trained to the standard of professional airline staff, done in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority requirements.”
