Ulrika Jonsson has admitted that she had panic attacks before and during her time on Channel 4’s Celebrity Big Brother.

Jonsson told Metro: “It took a long time to make the decision to do it. I was having panic attacks thinking about doing it and I was panic-stricken when I was in there.

“I was thinking, ‘I’m panicking, I’m having an attack, go and clean the kitchen to make it stop’. I had planned to be out in the first few days, so winning was daunting and completely unexpected.”

Of being nominated for eviction, she added: “I was quite grateful as I wanted to go home. And I do not care what they think about me. I don’t have anything to do with them anymore.

“It’s part of the game, people saying horrible things about you and you doing exactly the same.”

OFCOM has ruled that this years Celebrity Big Brother did not breach broadcasting rules despite hundreds of complaints about rapper Coolio.

Most of the complaints related to his sexist and allegedly bullying behaviour, however OFCOM said that Coolio was the “villain of the piece” for many but that “such a role, after 10 years of Big Brother, is generally expected by the audience”.

Ofcom said the series complied with rules because “any potentially offensive content that was shown and the manner in which the friction and the arguments were handled and presented by Big Brother on behalf of Channel 4, were adequately justified by the context”.

Channel 4 said it was pleased with OFCOM’s decision.

“Conflicts can arise within the Big Brother house, but both the producers and commissioning editors encourage housemates to work differences out amongst themselves initially,” it said in a statement.

“Channel 4 has robust procedures in place to safeguard housemates’ welfare and avoid any harm or offence to fellow housemates or viewers, and Big Brother will intervene as and when necessary.”

Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate, Michelle Heaton has had her boyfriends name tattooed on the inside of her wrist.

A friend told The Sun: “Michelle’s really happy with Hugh.

“She got the tattoo done as a surprise after coming out of the Big Brother house, although she’d planned to get it done before the series started.”

I give it a year, tops, before Michelle has to book a laser removal procedure. After all if she couldn’t remain faithful to her husband, why would things be any different with a new boyfriend?

Ulrika Jonsson is reported to be at the centre of a bidding war for her second autobiography.

The Daily Star claims that after the TV presenter won Celebrity Big Brother last week, publishers are fighting to get the rights to her tell all book.

Jonsson’s first autobiography, ‘Honest’, claimed that she had once been raped by a British star and revealed the details of her affair with Sven-Goran Eriksson.

An insider told the newspaper: “She will have to pull something big out of the bag to top that.”

Celebrity Big Brother bosses are said to be thrilled that Ulrika Jonsson won this years series.

Verne Troyer was hotly tipped to win the show and bookies were backing him as the winner with Terry Christian to finish in second place. However on the night Verne finished in fourth place and Ulrika Jonsson won the show.

A show insider told The People: “It is good to get a shock every so often. The last series of Big Brother was incredibly predictable, as it was the previous summer. It’s quite nice when you end up with a result which takes some people unawares.”

The source added: “The bookies definitely got it wrong this time but maybe they were too hasty in going all out for Verne. After all, Ulrika survived the public vote again and again so there was always a core of support there for her.”

It’s been a helluva night folks, hasn’t it? I’ve just come back to my hotel room from the Celebrity Big Brother final and press conference.

Let me say first, that the highlight of the entire night was Jack Whitehall on Big Brother’s Big Mouth. Okay, as one journalist next to me remarked, he was swearing much more than usual, probably on account of the final night adrenaline. But that whirlwind performance and minor bitchfight between Tina Malone and Michelle Heaton was priceless. (I heard later on that Michelle broke down in tears during the commercial break and none of her housemates comforted her – a member of the audience did instead.)

Anyway, as you might have guessed, Ulrika Jonsson’s win tonight has caused many a tabloid editor to tear up the front pages declaring Verne Troyer the winner. But more than that, her downright refusal to answer questions about her private life meant that there were no juicy details to include in tomorrow’s papers. In fact, when it came to speculation on her fee, she started to become downright hostile – finally claiming that the press wouldn’t be asking a man that question.

I remember one journalist asked whether being apart from your kids for a few weeks was worth all the fretting and crying she did. Ulrika – quite rightly – rounded on the young lady and asked her if she had any kids, concluding that if she’d had kids she would not have asked that question and would have understood how hard it was. Score 1 to Jonsson.

It surprising that anyone got a word in edgeways, because a belligerent Coolio dominated any question that was asked, to the obvious annoyance of the other housemates (Terry, Ulrika, Verne, Coolio and Ben were all present). Coolio’s a funny guy, but I’m guessing that most people were wishing someone had switched off his microphone about halfway through the interview.

I’m glad I’m a blogger though, and not a tabloid journalist. Verne’s shock exit (fourth place? wtf?) totally threw everybody. Then when Coolio went out, everybody was shocked. Mostly at how Ulrika – who I’ll admit I thought was some kind of national pariah – had managed to stay in right to the end. I’m still baffled as to how she got that groundswell of support.

Lisa mentioned in her liveblog post that she was looking out for me in the crowd. I was a little surprised to discover that the press – like you at home – got to watch the show on TV in a little cafe-type building on the studio. Yes – despite the fact that Davina was rocking the stage not five minutes from where we sat, we were watching it on telly. Bizarre beyond belief.

But better yet, during Terry Christian’s interview, the television set was drowned out to the sound of fireworks. It was only then that I was aware of the 10-15 minute gap between recording and broadcasting that they use to cut out expletives. Basically, while you were watching Terry’s interview, Ulrika was in the process of coming out of the house. How weird is that?

On The Finalists

Here’s a little bit of my impressions of the final five housemates from what I experienced of them at the press conference:

On Terry Christian: Terry was exactly like you saw on TV. Down to earth, funny, the type of guy you’d like to go out for a pint with. Seems like a really decent bloke. As a settled family man, there was no scandal, and the press were left scratching their heads for questions to ask him – apart from the obvious ‘bring back The Word’ ones.

On Ben Adams: I’m inclined not to call being quiet or slightly dull a personality deficiency like most people. Ben seems to be a nice guy, he’s just not quick with the one-liners, especially in a house with characters like Coolio and Terry and Verne.

On Verne Troyer: Verne’s an interesting character. I suspect he’s spent much of his life being patronized, but still manages to take it with such good grace. He’s a shy enough fella, but has no problem standing up for himself – he took Coolio to task for answering a journalist’s question on his behalf.

On Coolio: No joke – you could literally hear Coolio before you could see him. It was how we knew the celebs had re-entered the Big Mouth studio for the press conference. He didn’t shut up during the entire session and was funny for about 35% of it. Much as the world will always be indebted to him for Gangsta’s Paradise, he’s surprisingly annoying – I wouldn’t want to be cooped up in a house with him for a month.

On Ulrika Jonsson: I want to give Ulrika the benefit of the doubt – she’s been burned by the press on many occasions, and her attitude toward the journalists was sharp and seemed unfriendly. If you saw her on Big Mouth you’ll know what I mean. It was like she’d done her job and now wanted to go home. But on the other hand, she may have been uncomfortable being the center of attention.

Either way, as the winner of the show, she didn’t give the journalists much to work with – to be fair, the lines of questioning were either about her family or private life or about her fee. But what else do you ask Ulrika?

I’m going to bed now…

…so I’m going to sum things up. In what was largely a fairly calm household, there were very few axes to grind. And the five celebs left at the end were seasoned enough to know not to give a scandal away for free. Let’s see what comes out when the megabucks rounds of interviews and magazine deals are done.

Anyway, having seen some of the highlights on the show this evening, the 2009 celebrity housemates did a damned entertaining job, didn’t they? I don’t need to read about them hating each other in the papers.

Congratulations to Big Brother though, for managing to bounce back so well. I think this series has proved that there may well be life in the old dog yet, and that it might still be too early to write the all-seeing eye off!

My one parting comment to you though – isn’t it funny how this year was so entertaining, yet there wasn’t one mention of ‘evil’ Big Brother? Maybe it’s time to retire that tactic…

Ulrika Jonsson has been announced as the winner of celebrity Big Brother 2009 and I never would have seen it coming. When the voting lines closed, Ulrika had received 56.7% of the total votes for the final two places.

Terry was the runner up with 43.3% of the total votes.

Verne Troyer was tipped to win the series with Terry in second place, who would have thought that a Swedish weathergirl would have beaten them both?

Is anyone out there an Ulrika fan? I don’t mind her but never would have voted for her to win. What was the appeal? Someone tell me please….

Tonight’s Celebrity Big brother final has been a night of surprises!

First Verne leaves in fourth place after he was hotly tipped to win, and then Coolio got the news that he had finished in third place. Coolio received 25.3% of the votes

Coolio will be leaving the house in about thirty minutes and he looked thoroughly shell shocked at the prospect.

Winning the show tonight will be Ulrika Jonsson or Terry Christian, who will you be voting for?

We have just kicked off and the crowd at Elstree looks crazy! I am looking out trying to spot Gerard from Unreality TV in the crowd but he must be ducking behind someone’s sign.

Davina is just giving us all the numbers we need to vote, who will it be?

20:31: I understand why people are booing Michelle, Tina, Lucy and Mutya but why on earth would you boo Tommy or La Toya. Poor Tommy looked gutted!

20:36: Highlights from the last 24 hours…..get back to the eviction!!!

20:38: Could Verne be any more obvious that he doesn’t like Ulrika. He has just ignored everything she said to him and there only is two of them in the room!

20:44: Every time Verne starts to spill his guts everybody leaves the room! He’s been left with Ulrika once more and the pair are discussing broken hearts and trust issues. How deep!

20:48: Ben is out. His interview will be….well….boring! I’m glad he’s gone, he was a waste of a fee really!

20:54: How red is Ben’s face? He is so embarrassed, probably by all the boos! Ohhhh Davina is asking him about Michelle.

Ben replied: “Michelle and I knew each other before and we kind of clicked a little bit more than other people did. But she’s got a lovely boyfriend and she’s a lovely girl.”

Davina: “Did you fancy her?”

Ben said: “She’s a lovely girl!”

Oh he’s hoping for a magazine deal!

20:59: Verne is out!!! WTF???? The bookies favourite finishes in fourth place. It’s anybodies now.

21:08: The crowd is chanting “Winner winner winner” at Verne whilst he is doing his exit interview. He looks a little bemused. When asked what his favourite moment in the house was, Verne replied: “I guess when I was imitating Coolio.” Davina went on to show him clips from his tipsy night, you just never can see a midget crash enough! When asked how he found his time in the house and whether the housemates treated him well Verne replied: “They did offer to help a lot, but when I’m at home there aren’t things lowered for me and I do everything for myself. I just wanted to show people that I really am no different, only smaller.”

Davina: “Did you know Coolio well from LA ”

Verne: “We’ve hung out a couple of times. I’ve hung out in his house, we’ve hung out in Vegas.”

Davina: “Lets Discuss Ulrika”

Verne: “I think she is a great lady, a very caring mother and overall I got along with her. there were certain times when things went on between us but it wasn’t anything drastic.” “She is very bossy!”

Verne tipped his “homeboy Coolio” to win.

21.20: Coolio is out, just Ulrika and Terry left. I never thought Ulrika would make it this far.

22:07: I’m a winner and I win most of the time. I’m a terrible loser but I’m not unhappy at having Terry left in the house.” “I expected Verne to win, or La Toya.”

Davina then asked Coolio about his gameplan.

Coolio replied: “At the beginning I was trying to irritate some people and make them walk out.

Davina: “You did end up irritating your housemates.”

Coolio: “Yeah but I was acting the ass, trying to have a good time and keep myself amused. I have a serious problem with being bored, I’m not used to being bored.”

Davina then talked about how upset Michelle got by his teasing.

Coolio replied: “I never disliked Michelle, I saw how her and Ben was looking at each other and got a little you know. ”

Davina: We saw an amazing soft side to you during the inauguration.

Coolio: “I’m 45 years old and I never thought that I would live to see a black president. My great grandfather was a slave, he bought his family out of slavery. He changed our last name and I’ve heard all those stories. So yeah it was a special moment and I was overwhelmed with emotion.”

22.19: Ulrika wins!!! Who would have seen that coming. A Swedish weathergirl beat them all. Terry is coming out now, Ulrika will have to wait for a while.

22:25: Davina is interviewing Terry.

Davina: “Terry you totally immersed yourself in the game, was that a gameplan?”

Terry: “It wasn’t the plan, but there’s no point doing it unless you are going to go for it and make an idiot out of yourself.”

Davina: “Did you ever think you would come out best buddies with Coolio”

Terry: “I got on with anyone, I liked Ben, I missed Tina when she left and I missed Tommy. But with Coolio I’m from a big family and I’m used to a lot of noise.

Davina: “Coolio brought out the male in the house and stopped all the strong women from taking over.”

Terry: “Do you know we did all the washing up anyway, me, Coolio, Tommy and La Toya.”

Davina: “Will you keep in touch with anyone?”

Terry: “Yeah we are all going to have a drink tonight and swap addresses. We need a drink just to take the edge off.

22.40: Ulrika starts her exit interview with Davina.

Ulrika: “This is singularly the weirdest experience of my entire life and I have had a weird life.”

Davina: “You were the most unwilling housemate and three weeks later you are the winner. Why do you think that it ended like this?”

Ulrika: “I don’t know I have to say now that I never thought I would regret going into the house. I don’t regret it at all, it was an amazing experience to have. I said in the diary room a couple of times that I would only be in for a week. I had only packed enough panty liners for two weeks, so I was very grateful for Terrys nomination and then to be nominated again and again and again.”

“Coolio told me that I need to relax a bit more but I am used to putting the kids first and find it hard to enjoy myself.”

Davina: Some of the guys found you hare to live with because you were so bossy. Would you agree with that?”

Ulrika: ” Oh totally, my husband tells me that all the time. I am, and I think its because I have to organise people and sometimes I get told to just stop. It’s hard to switch off, I was no different in the house than I am at home.

Davina: “You and Coolio went on a little journey didn’t you?”

Ulrika: “Well I think that Coolio at one stage went “You’re a Leo” and suddenly that’s why we weren’t getting on. But it was really only because he was so dominant. He did provide a fantastic energy in the house and he was great entertainment.”
